"If it is" Ian said looking up and locking his blue eye's with his cousins "I'll protect you. That's what family is for....and if they're really after you to hurt you they won't get in here. Don't worry about it" he took another bite of his dinner, finishing it. "Um, tomorrow I've got to run some place in the morning. Will you feel comfortable staying alone, or do you want to tag along?"

Melisha caught a glimpse of the scar on Brooklyn's arm but didn't ask about it. She knew what it was like to want to hide ugly injuries. She had done it all the time. "I'm from here.....Ditto Town. You must have come along way from Texas" she whispered, taking the last gulp of her water. Sweat trickled off her brow as she looked up into the mid-day sun. It was getting hotter, and by the position of the sun she figured it was almost noon. Looking back at Brooklyn with tears in her eyes she said "I don't really know where to go. I'm just not going home."

Brandon arrived at the dock around mid-night, pulling up and stopping with a squeak of car breaks. He flipped the latch to the door and climbed out, watching the moon shimmer across the water. He stepped toward the wharf looking out toward the jade bay that extended for miles along Ditto Town's coast. Here, is where his Mother and Sister had died. He felt a lump rise up in his throat. How why did it have to happened that way? He knew now it was murder. Someone.....something had attacked there boat. At mid-night that fatal Saturday night there boat had been pierced below water line. A fire had started in the small hold. Unable to contain the flames Brandon and ordered his Mother and sister to abandon ship. After a few minutes he had come up on deck and jumped thinking they had already. But as he had turned around he had heard his little sister screaming to her Mommy she didn't want to jump. She didn't want to go into the ebony waters. Terror had gripped her and she wouldn't go. Only a few seconds later the boat had exploded. Brandon had been wounded by the shards of metal and board that had been thrown at him, but that had seemed numb compared to the loss he had suffered. He would never forget his little sister screaming right before the explosion. Never ever.

Micah felt relief that Ian wouldn't let something happen. For a second, his worries seemed to leave him. "I would love to tag along. Where are we going?"

The next day, Justin got ready for work. Then, he remembered it was Saturday. Ah, he thought to himself, So I got up early for nothing. At least I'll be able to help with Weydon.
Even though Maralyn usually made him breakfast, he got himself his own breakfast. He went to his room to get the Bible and took it to the back porch and read it.

It was 10 AM. Weydon rubbed her eyes and pouted. She felt so alone now. She had always felt alone all her life, but now it was worse. It was as if everything had come crashing down.
She looked over at her supervisor. "Where are we going?" she asked.
"We're going to a very nice mans house." Josephine said with a smile. "His names Justin, but you better call him Mr. Tomas. He has a wife too, you should call her Ms. Tomas." Josephine looked in the mirror to see what Weydon's face expression was. "You're going to stay with them awhile. Mr. Thomas is a youth pastor, Ms. Thomas stays at home so you'll get to hang out with her all day." Josephine winked in the mirror so Weydon could see. "I think you'll like them!"

Weydon frowned. She had a feeling she probably wouldn't like them.
"I think I met them before," she said, "at the mall." She grew very quiet all of a sudden, as if something were bothering her. "The family had a baby. He was holding it. He said it was 'precious'." Weydon looked out the window. "They seemed very strange to me."
Josephine looked in the mirror again. "Strange? Why do you think that?" Josephine asked. "If they think their baby is precious, I'm sure they'll think you are." Josephine smiled. "Oh. Here we are." Josephine parked next to their house and got out of the car, she opened the door for Weydon took her hand and walked up to the houser. Josephine looked down at Weydon. "Do you want to ring the door bell?"

Sydney stepped through the ornate door and the woman called her daughter. Rosamunde skipped down the staircase that was by the front door. She was nearly identical to her mother, minus the pink highlights in her hair. "Hey, Syd! Lenny's upstairs watching War Games." "Didn't he watch that last night?" Mrs. Troy said as she walked past the two girls and into the kitchen. Rosamunde snickered and motioned for Sydney to follow her upstairs. Sydney hurried up the stairs after Rosamunde. The blonde girl led her into a spacious game room and toward a bunch of beanbag chairs. ((OOC: I'm on vacation, so I might not be able to post much. That's why I'm kind of keeping my characters away from the hustle and bustle.))

Josephine looked down at Weydon. "Do you want to ring the door bell?"
Weydon looked at her strangely. "I don't care," she said. "I'm not afraid of ringing it, if that's what you mean."
She folded her arms across her chest and sighed. She would never understand adults, she thought. When you felt fine, they believed you were upset. And when you really were upset, they didn't notice.
She was about to ring the bell, but realized she didn't want to. She didn't want anyone to.
"Why do I have to stay here?" Weydon asked, annoyed. "Why can't I stay with Karver? Where is she?"
Meanwhile, Miley rang Johnny's doorbell. She wanted to see her oldest brother as much as he could before he left again for his job. Also, she wanted to hear him play some songs before he left.
~~~~~~~
Even though they hadn't rang the doorbell yet, Justin opened the door for Weydon and her supervisor. He smiled sheepishly. "Forgot today was Saturday adn I'm not working today. He looked to Weydon, who looked confused and scared. "Hey, come on in. Maralyn is feeding Sarah right now."
Peter decided he would go to Brian's so they could hang out for a little bit like they used to. He felt bad they didn't have the individuall time to each other they used to. He rang Brian's doorbell, hoping to be able to hang out.
Stacey was looking at her manicured nails, as she called Ally on the phone. It would be a perfect day for them to find some boys and she was really hoping Ally would go with her to talk with Logan some more.
Josephine was about to answer Weydon's question when Justin opened the door. "Oh, hi Justin!" Josephine said. "Well I'm glad you're not going to work today. That will make it much easier." Josephine said as they walked in. "Here are some papers you and Maralyn will need to sign."
Timothy Ryner shoved the last cart back into the cart corral at The Ditto Town General, and sighed. Another day at work had passed, and the manager was just locking up as all the employees walked to their cars and waved as they left. He picked up the plastic bag off of the ground near his feet.
He waved to his co-workers as he walked to his own car, “See ya tomorrow!” he yelled.
They drove out of the parking lot one by one, as he slid behind the wheel of his own car, and started the engine. It came to life, and he backed up carefully. He turned onto the main street, and plunged into the traffic.
He glanced at the sack, holding a present for his little sister, a necklace with a blue flower pendant that they had just gotten in as a shipment. He knew she would love it.
Within 10 minutes, he turned onto their street, drove along, pulled into their driveway, and got out of his car, carrying the bag. He walked up the steps, unlocked the front door, and quietly walking through the living room where his drunken father snored.
He rolled his eyes and climbed the stairs to the second floor. He knocked on his sister’s door, waited for an answer, and then whispered, “Melisha?”
The door didn’t open and there was no answer. He turned the handle and pushed the door open, to reveal her bedroom, completely clean and bed made. That’s weird… she’s usually in here at this time of day. He thought.
He hid the bag under her pillow and went downstairs, entering the kitchen where his Mom was, “Mom… where’s Melisha?”
"Do that again," Ally demanded, who barely had time to stop, as Zach barreled on down the sidewalk.
"I can't really undo what I just did..." Zach fingered the ketchup packet he had just ripped open in his pocket.
"Yes you can," snapped Ally. She yanked his arm, this time a little harder, and brought both of them to a halt. "Smile again." He obliged. "I KNEW IT!" Ally stomped her foot. "That is not fair, this is SO not fair..."
"What? This?" And he had the audacity to dimple her...again.
Ally was between fuming and melting when her phone gave a sharp tweet.
"Weren't we doing this just yesterday?" Johnny teased, opening the door to let his sister in, for the second time that week.
Miley giggled, as she walked into Johnny's house. "I just wanted to hear you play some songs before you left."
"So," Weydon said sarcastically, as her supervisor handed Justin some paperwork. "Since this is my new "family", how many new "siblings" do I have? Any "Pets"? Do I have a "New Name" too?" She rolled her eyes.
Bridget looked up from the piece of paper toward the house she had just pulled in front of. "Looks right...Let's see if you're home, Johnny." Putting the truck in park, she pushed her door open and stepped out, her high heels hitting the curb with a click.
Bridget's outfit was professional and impressive, however, she wasn't looking to impress the man who owned the house. Straightening her jacket, she walked up the sidewalk to the house and gave the door a sharp knock. Stepping back, Bridget shoved her hands into her fashionable shorts and waited.
