Maya quickly ran to the school unseen by her friends she had met the day before. Looking like a normal teenage girl walking threw the school cafeteria. Coming to the kitchen, she found it deserted. Skittering across the floor to the frig, she found some food and water and stuffed it into her empty bag. Looking around the kitchen, she found some first-aid supplies and pushed that in with the rest of the stuff.

Mama, I'm sorry I'm stealing, but I need it for a friend, my friend.

Opening the kitchen door, Maya looked around before she sneaked out the door and outside again. She kept her head down and her hair across her face so no one would recognize her. Once she passed the school grounds, Maya broke into a run.
Puffing and gasping for air, she finally came to the place where she had left Melisha. Seeing how the girl was lying on the ground curled up as if to protect herself from danger, Maya left compassion for her. Sitting on the ground beside Melisha, Maya leaned against the fall for support.
Gently lifting Melisha's head and shoulders off the ground, she laid her on her lap. Hushing the girl's quiet sobs, Maya gently brushed her hair away from her face to see her face better. She looked around the bruises and into her blue-green eyes. All she saw in them were pain and fear. And she remembered a time when she had felt the same way. She felt something warm and wet run down her cheek and tasted salty water on her lip.
A single tear slipped out and ran down her face.

"I'd love to," Johnny said. He cringed. "'Chillaxin'? Really, Peter, that's the second slang in about three sentences." He winked. "You're never going to pass high school with that kind of English."

"Nice to meet you, Brian," Ally said simply. She knew the disgusted look he wore before it even hit his face. She craned her neck to check up on the progress of Peter and Zach. Snap! That messy song-writer cousin of Peter's had caught them.

Miley laughed, "But, he won't survive highschool without it."
Peter nodded. "She has a valid point." He gave his cousins a teasing grin.

Rosamunde smiled when Peter introduced her. Extending her hand to the others, she said, "But you can just call me Ro."

Sydney glanced up. The sidewalk had led her to a park of sorts. There was a pond to her left and in front of her was a small skatepark. A whole bunch of teenagers stood.
"Just great..." She fiddled with her bracelets as she walked past the group, head down, hoping none of them would talk to her.

Bridget pulled her sunglasses off of her head and set them on the counter. She surveyed the entire house before walking out toward her truck. Unlocking it, she opened the driver side door and grabbed her purse.
Bridget locked the truck and house, then walked down the sidewalk toward the McDonald's that she had seen. She and Sydney had just eaten on the road, but an iced tea wouldn't hurt.

She works fast, Logan thought humorously when Stacey suggested a date. A deep relationship wasn’t something Logan was looking for right now, but then again a date hardly meant they’d be going steady or anything. "Yeah, that would be great. Can I get your number?" He asked, pulling out his cell phone and flicking it open.

Logan's attention was drawn away just for a second when he noticed another girl walking alone in the park. Her head was down, causing her red hair to obscure her face. "Who's she?" Logan asked, and then waved. "Hi,” He said as she approached.

Sydney looked up, hoping the boy wasn't talk to her. Her eyes widened a fraction when she realized he was. Her choppy bangs were pushed to the side as she offered a quiet, "Hey."

She wanted to keep walking, but she knew the polite thing to do was to stop. "Skater?" She motioned to his skateboard.

Bridget pulled the door open to the McDonald's and stepped inside. She ordered a sweet tea and then left the fast-food restaurant.

Taking a sip, she relished the sweet, cool liquid.

Stacey observed the emo looking girl from her head to toe and held in a laugh. "Hey, I'm Stacey." She looked at Logan and told him her number, wishing the girl would go away."

Jen took notice of Stacey's rudeness and deicded to extend kindness to the orange-haired girl. "Hey, I'm Jen and this is Emmy. Where you from?"

Sydney's fingernails pressed into her palms slightly with the sudden attention. "I'm Sydney. I actually just moved here with my sister." She said to Jen.

She smiled lightly, one corner of her mouth barely lifting. "Nice to meet you both."

Bridget pulled her ringing cellphone out of her purse and flipped it open. "Hey! We just got here! Sydney and I are exploring a little before we start unloading the truck."

Bridget gave a laugh and a nod and then said, "Okay, okay, I'll call you later." She hung up the cellphone, placed it back into her purse and kept walking.

((OOC: Hummy, I would assume Bridget is near Johnny. ))

Logan nodded in answer to the girl's question. "Yeah, you bet." Then Stacey gave him her number, and he quickly added her as a contact in his phone.

Emmy noticed the other girl's quiet and reserved demeanor, and immediately received the feeling that the girl didn't want to stay and talk. She felt a little sympathy for her; she herself wasn't very socially adept either. Almost without thinking first, Emmy spoke up. "Welcome to Ditto Town." She smiled sweetly.

"Thanks," Sydney said, glancing at Emmy. She felt awkward standing there, so she started to play with her many bracelets again.

Chloe hurled to the ground as the blast of the missile hit the top of the hill she had just climbed down. It seemed to come out of nowhere and had exploded where Brad and her had been talking just a few minutes before. Looking at the hill, frantically searching for any sight of Brad, Chloe was disappointed. All she saw on top of the hill where the two trees. The big oak was hit by part of the missile and a huge branch creaked and groaned and then fell down with a thud. Chloe knew in her heart that Brad was dead. There was no need to go back and look at him and have that horror blotching the fine memories she had of him. Picking herself off the ground, she started back home with a sorrowful heart, but a new destiny.

Ally knew a newcomer when she saw one. She could see them...smell 'em...sense 'em...something. In any case, this girl was obviously new. Shy too. Ally bounded over to the red-head. The girl was desperately trying to be low-profile, but honestly, it's not too easy with a head full of bright orange-y hair.

"Peter?" Zach looked at his friend and asked him in a low voice accompanied with a head jerk, and then a thumb jerk to make the point, and finally a crack of a joint and a sharp "Ow!".

"That person walking towards us...is she new?" Peter would probably know all the residents and visitors and relatives of said residents.

Aforementioned "person" became "girl" which, as she neared, morphed into "lady". She had brown hair and was carrying a cup of something from McDonalds.

((OOC: Eusy, "Any volunteers?" time. ))

Sydney looked Ally over, her right eyebrow lifted ever so slightly. She was the bubbly type; the complete opposite of Sydney. Offering a slight smile, Sydney said the first thing that came to mind: "I like your nail polish."

Bridget looked up. A few teens were looking at her. She gave a wave and smiled.

Ally caught up to the ginger and was surprised to find that the first topic of initial conversation evidently was around her own nails.

"Thanks!" Ally exclaimed. "My name's Ally. I'm fifteen."

Johnny returned the smile from the woman and debated on what to say. "You are obviously new here" seemed a bit too rude, while "Hello" seemed highly inadequate.

"Hi, I'm Johnny." Did we decide on what to say yet? I don't think so. one part of his brain started scolding. "I don't believe I've seen you before, and this is a small town..." he gestured.

Declan soon noticed that most everyone was rushing to a girl with a flame colored hair like moths to a... well a flame. Declan eyed the situation, thought of something to say, and began to approach.
"Hey, Mundy, I'm gonna go say hi to that girl over there." Declan said, then he made his way over.
Finally, as he came up to her, he said, "Hey, My name is Declan O'Hara, breather of air. I live around here, and I like to eat food. Are you new around here?"
A little joke should lighten the mood a bit. Declan thought to himself She seems a bit tense.
