New Ditto Story seg!

Updated census for Isaac and Nerrha!

Expect census entries for Hannah and Amelia, as well as Jennifer and Shannon, to come soon.

Oh, and a note about my last two Ditto Story segs:

To be honest, these segs are somewhat "censored". Not that there was any swearing or really bad stuff that I took out, but rather, some of the history behind Jennifer and Shannon goes into controversial and not-quite-NWeb-friendly subject matters and as such, I have chosen not to mention them in these segs. If anyone is interested in an "uncensored" version of these segs, or of the history of Jennifer and Shannon, feel free to let me know and I'll see what I can do.

Sorry about dropping off the face of the "net. Its been a busy couple of weeks. I shall endeavour to get something written this week.

Aravanna, let's PM about Erika and Axe if you like. I admit that your segment surprised me... It sounds like a very interesting twist that I am willing to go along with.

I quite enjoyed your segments, stardf, and I'm impressed with the background you're developing for your Star Defenders.

It was nice to see the DeHonds again! So Eliana is a composer? And they're welcome to entertain Molly musically, should they ever babysit.
(Which reminds me, I'm excited to see the introduction of their little one!).

(I've been delinquent in writing for the Story, as my writing muse is currently occupied with my still-unfinished NaNo. But that is coming along slowly but surely. I'll just have to remember that Molly is an infant rather than older. )

I have a questions (Puts tail between legs and looks around with wide eyes) I'm rather confused still about Ditto town, and being off my main home Narnia forum turf( Being the fan art thread) I have questions. Is this the thread were people can talk about the plot of there story to see if people want to do it?

No, lover of narnia, this isn't the place for that. The place you're looking for is the Ditto Town Cavern Tavern. I think it's a little further down the page.

Story updated. My apologies for being so late with the update. And for those who haven't read the previous stories, yes the headaches were a loose end I never tied up. I intend to do so this story.

Nice addition, kat! Rather ominous foreshadowing there that may move us into the main plot.

EDIT: kat and I had a discussion this evening regarding possible main plot directions for this story. Is this a direction we can take? Ideas for altering or improving it? Please let us know what you think!

stargazer: I was tempted to post something from my NaNo, which is a follow-up to my Elana Criton segment posted a very long time ago....Have we determined what the Nine might be doing when they do arrive?
stargazer: I left that old Elana segment hanging, with her musing about nanites altering the gargoyles. Is that something we could use in this story?

This is all still quite tentative, and we can hash out the details if we decide to do this, but one possibility is to offer some kind of 'immunity' to characters if their writers prefer not to have this happen to them (otherwise it would be a sort of 'god-modding,' to use a role-playing term).

We could come up with some plot device or other explanation for Varna and other long-lived characters, if their writers want them to have this transformation.

The characters definitely would be allowed to return to their original forms by the end, unless a writer decides otherwise. But as in my NaNo the adventure is getting there.

Rya, I have a question for you, could Erica tell Alex about what happened with Ryana's rescue? I'd run the segment by you first of course, and I doubt Erica had much of an impact on the battle anyways, I'm just not sure how you want to the flashbacks.

Agh, I'm sorry, I thought I had already answered this before finals hit! (And I haven't really been on much since that happened....) To answer your question, yeah, that'd be fine.

Sorry for my disappearance as of late...late October on has been kinda nuts for me. But stargazer told me about the discussion here, and now that I have time to come back, now I'm trying to catch up with everything.

Anyways, I think that arc would be really cool. Although...I have to admit, I would probably come up with some kind of immunity, just because I have some ("background") things planned for Ryana that won't work if she's fully human. But I would be glad to participate in that.

*ahem* We do have one way to swap species already. There's an enzyme that makes it very easy- Aria's parents discovered it and it's why they were in hiding in the first place. So 'gazer, you're welcome to that plot device.

While I agree that this overarching plot might be very interesting, it would certainly change my approach for this story. I like the idea of using nanites- it worked for Star Trek and Stargate! But we may want to start small and let it grow as it will, rather than have one catastrophic incident that affects everybody without some form of "magical" immunity, which in some cases may come across as a cop-out.

Thoughts?

This may sound like a cop-out, but I was kind of thinking we could just write and see where things take us? Whether there's an out for certain species or not, enzyme/nano tech, etc. Keep in mind, the Nine have the research that the Org had done so mainly the species that might be affected would be the ones with links back to that research. They may not necessarily have the ability yet to affect the myriad of species in Ditto Town.
