Stargazer, I had so much fun writing that segment. I'm experimenting with writing male voices, as you can tell, and planning on doing a bunch of it this story, so I hope I capture male friendships accurately.

Elsendor, welcome to the story! Just jump on in! If you have any questions feel free to post or pm any of us. We'll be glad to help you get started.

The one thing we insist on is a unique set of characters. Take my main characters for instance. Katherine was originally based on The Lone Ranger, but has become so much more over time. Gwanuig is an elf in the fashion of Tolkein, but he and his people have a unique culture. Anything that is obviously copyrighted like Rivendell or Arwen aren't allowed. But we aren't above referring to things like that. Varna's character is from Middle Earth. We've got a few talking animals from Narnia somewhere in town.

The center of town is usually the Inn run by Boo-kay the bucket, the Cup and Platter run by Hugh the Hologram, the Ditto Mansion where it is bigger on the inside and as many rooms as needed, and the post office along with various other buildings. But those are the main ones.

As for the plot, right now we're just getting started. Part of the hang up was getting several characters back to town and the segment I posted tonight should help in that respect.

(While my characters are inspired by those appearing elsewhere, they themselves are original. And over the years I've been writing them I've made a number of changes that would make truly die-hard Gargoyles fans cringe).

The bios for the story characters appear in the Census Bureau - which appears at the bottom of the main Ditto Town section page. Feel free to read the ones posted there, and to adapt the template as you see fit. As you create your character, you may reveal as much or as little as you like in his/her census form (for example, perhaps your character's a rather mysterious one, and we learn more info only gradually, through interactions with other characters).

On that note, I have a question about Loren and Eliana's child: should he or she have any "powers" or anything special? I know that would be very trite, so should I keep him or her a regular human? What are your thoughts?

narnianerd, I'll pm you with an idea I have sometime between now and Sunday. My time's pretty tight up until Saturday, but we may be able to bring your character in with one of mine who is on her way back to town as well as combine it with some other characters.
