I like Asa Butterfield! Hes great and I think he'd be good in a Narnia film...he has that look to him if you know what I mean?
He should be played by an english actor and regardless of book descriptions I always saw him as dark haired with blue eyes...which is why I think Asa Butterfield would be good!
My opinion is the same way as yours Asa does have that look to be in a Narnia film, more importantly he has that Victorian age look about him. I love his dark hair and blue eyes as well. It's exactly how i imagined Digory all along.

I have always imagined Digory around 12-13 years old with brown eyes and hair.

I sorta imagined him being around 9, 10, or 11, with black hair.

Now that MN is possibly next Asa Butterfield may have a huge chance to be young Digory after all

I was hoping that maybe would hire little-known British actors. Because they dont really have an aging issue, I hope Digory and Polly could be played by elementary school aged kids, kind of like Skandar and Georgie in LWW.
I've always imagined Polly as a blond and Digory having messy brown hair. I definately be looking forward the to Victorian style architecture and clothes.
the 3rd one is a lil to old...

I was thinking Bill Milner, Will's costar from Son of Rambow, but maybe he's too old?

Bill is around Will Poulter's age so no. But he is a cute little thing though! I still say Asa Butterfield! He'd be perfect.

Yeah Milner's too old too. But the younger version of him might have done. He was so adorable in Rambow I could have seen him getting properly mad at

Max Records is adorable, i'm afraid too adorable for Digory. I imagine Digory to be a bit rough looking, dark hair with either blue or brown eyes.

Oh... Bill Milner from son of rambow would have been great if this was made a couple of years ago...he was great in Son of Rambow with Will Poulter! Shame he is a bit too old now (Though I havn't seen a recent picture of him lately), he looks like I pictured diggory, but I saw him with Will Poulters stance and posture etc, and Bill Milner was a little bit petite compared to how I saw Diggory, but to be honest, you are never going to find 'THE PERFECT' actor/ actress.

Seriously, just give the kid the orange. He needs his vitamin C!
How about that new singer, Greyson Chance, he´s never been in a movie, he can " fake " an accent, and he´s 13.

I watched a lovely interview of Asa Butterfield today and I still hope this adorable kid gets the role of Digory! Asa For Digory!

Too true DamselJillPole, I loved Asa in Boy in the striped Pajamas and Merlin!
perfect_jill_pole I think that Greyson Chance looks kind of like Diggory but he looks a bit too modern. Some people have an 'old fashioned' appearence, and I don't think he does. But that's just my opinion. Plus some fans are fond of the idea casting beyond the UK. IDK though. That is just my opinion.

So apparently according to NarniaFans the role for Digory Kirke has actually been given to none other than....wait for it....wait for it....
JUSTIN BIEBER!!!!!!!
It was a well kept secret that nobody knew he had auditioned and not only will he get the role he will sing one of the songs in the credits dubbed "Never Eat Apples!"
It's going to be very interesting to see how this works.
