I am really encouraged by what I saw on the Lucy page. The 1st point that I noticed which was really important to me was that Lucy agrees to say the spell on the Magician's Island; she's not forced to. On one of the spy reports, it had stated that Lucy was "kidnapped" therefore being forced to say the spell. In the book it's Lucy valiantly agreeing to say the spell to not only save her own skin, but to protect all the others on the Dawn Treader. I think this is really important for Lucy's character, and according to the description on narniacharacters.com, is exactly what she does.

Another thing the description mentions is Lucy must undergo temptation of her own for insulting Edmund and Caspian on their weakness facing their temptations(is this possibly Deathwater/Dragon Island?). In the book when Ed and Caspian start arguing over who's really the "higher" king, Lucy says ""Oh, stop it, both of you! That's the worst of doing anything with boys. You're all such swaggering, bullying idiots!" So apparently Lucy must pay for that remark with the temptation of the beauty spell.

One thing I absolutely, positively loved was the fact that Lucy prays, or calls, to Aslan in the Dark Island. I quote from the description, "....and obediently seeks the voice of Aslan in prayer when surrounded by darkness." That's awesome!!!

I am getting a little more content with how Lucy's character is going to be portrayed. I was a little worried at first with the vanity, wanting attention from boys, and all that rot, but hopefully we'll have a very compassionate, valiant Lucy as well!

I saw the movie....and was disappointed

I tried out Lucy's Quiz and got 100%! After looking at Lucy's Profile, I felt positive that if there's one character I don't have any big problems with, it's Lucy. :)

What really caught my eye was how Lucy "takes care of Edmund and Eustace's needs," and that she's kind to Eustace, even if he's mean back. I'm glad to know that she always tries to be nice to her pesky cousin just like in the book, and she'll care for her brother even if he sometimes acts like a jerk. #:-s

I sure hope November comes soon, because I want to read Eustace's Profile pronto! :D

Reading this profile has encouraged me greatly. Most of it is true to the book! :-o We obviously can't be sure that everything mentioned will be just so in the movie, but it is likely.
My favorite point is that she "Seeks the voice of Aslan in prayer when surrounded by darkness." Yesssss! That's probably my favorite passage in the whole book! I was hoping it would make it into the movie. :-bd
I also like that she "Displays great compassion for Lord Rhoop." This sounds very much like the Lucy we care about. :)

I thought it interesting that one of the questions on the Lucy profile game could only be answered if you have read the spoiler report from the screening (Who does Caspian mistake Lucy for?) And one could only be answered if you have seen the movie. (What is Lucy doing when the movie opens?). I guessed at that one--got it right the second time.

Man, I can't believe we're so close to seeing Eustace's profile in less then a week! It didn't seem so long ago Lucy came out! I really want to see if Eustace's character has changed from the book, and that test should be fun! :D

As promised, the start of November brought about http://www.narniacharacters.com 's update of Eustace. The information given and the quiz are very encouraging and seem to be very friven by book material.

Quite interesting is the information given about the Unfragoning, which is essentially what is written in the book, contrary to what several spoiler reports have said.

Morevover, in the quiz, one of the questions is: 'At the end, Dragon Eustace...' and the correct answer is "battles a Sea Sepent". What is interesting about this is that another option to this question (and therefore automatically FALSE) is "earns his transformation". So it seems that this is not the case that the Undragoning is earned through a show of bravery.

This said, http://www.narniacharacters.com , is in collaboration with http://www.aslanscountry.com , so there might be influences form there. However, I doubt that they would post anything not movie-related, seeing as 1) Some of the other information (such as stealing oranges and battling sea serpents) are directly from the movie exclusively and 2) this site is a branch of http://www.narnia.com itself.

So, all in all, a very encouraging piece of news. :)

I thought that some of Eustace's questions were very interesting. They had a question even about Eustace unwillingly doing what he was told.

That probably refers to when he is captured and sold as a slave on Narrowhaven. If it's done like the book, it'll probably hilarious. :D
