DamselJillPole, I did not speak out of any rage toward you. I simple said, just like they other mods have stated nicely, that saying what you said about Susan wasn't nice. I wasn't being mean, nor did I intend or want to. Neither was I angry at you. Everyone knows we have extremely different opinions concerning romance in the Narnia books/movies. I have though, never insulted Rd's daughter or openly been mean to her. That's against forum rules and it would not gain me, or anyone else good. Would it change your opinion? No. Anyone elses? No. I dislike her, but that's another matter. We believe and like different things, lets leave it like that.
Me PMing you would only be a mistake. We would argue, say nasty things and it would never end. Lot's up people believe how you believe, there are some that side with me. There is nothing helpful in arguing. I was once involved in ones of this discussions...I was hurt, and people, HIGH people, had to step in.
And please don't insult Susan. She was beautiful and Caspian was handsome...they were attracted to each other, and I happen to believe in love at first sight. You may be upset at me, but saying things about them won't change my opinion. Ever.
And I believe they are love. Have you ever been involved in love? Would you know? I'm too young to fall in love, but that doesn't matter. I still can see love, and like reading, watching and writing about it. By the way, PC actually spanned longer than hours. They were in Narnia for days. About a week I think from what Edmund said. They can start falling in love in that time. I think.
Now, since I'm sure they mods would like this subject dropped, I will drop it. But I'm still saying, Susan had reasons for doing things she did in the movie. She was concerned for Caspian, AND her family. There was an equal balance pro-trade. I think she did what she had to, and what her heart told her to do in the time she was there.
I liked her in PC better. Though she had strengths and weaknesses in both.
Also, I'm not trying to gang up on DamselJillPole. I am, responding and expressing my opinion. I wasn't trying to be rude.
GlimGlum, Did I say something wrong? I'm REALLY sorry if I am...I know I can get heated and a little straight forward with my beliefs. I'm sorry if I was some of the cause for the posts you didn't like. If you want me to edit or delete this current one, all you have to do is PM me.
AslanIsOnTheMove, You do have some good points there yourself. I do agree with you in some spots but not in others. You do have a very good point with Susan fighting. Her name is Susan the Wuss. She pretty much HAD to fight.
With this said....I think I'm done. Mods, if I have said things wrong...please PM me.

Gonna step in here.....
There is nothing wrong with people liking Susan and Caspian's relationship in the PC movie. And there is also nothing wrong with absolutely hating it.
These are personal opinions based on a story.
I don't have a problem at all with debating with other people on why you disagree with their opinion (I mean, what else is the forum for?), but to suggest that someone else's opinion is wrong and that person is wrong for having such an opinion, I do have a serious problem with that.
That's why we have a forum rule that states....
Speak respectfully of other NarniaWebbers, public figures, and corporations. Extreme statements like these are not welcome here:
• Your ideas are stupid/immature.
• My ideas are better than yours.
So from this point on, if we feel that your post is being disrespectful towards someone else, we'll be removing it.
Carry on....
I like Susan in PC and LWW equally! she's just really good in both movies, so it's hard for me to decide which one I like her in best!
in LWW, Susan is nervous about this new land of Narnia, but she learnes to accept being there and actually likes it after a while! so I like her there!
in PC, she doesn't want to go back, unlike her siblings, but is thrust against her will into it again!
Anna does an awesome job with Susan!
if I had to choose, I think I like her in PC best!

um,
To me Susan was far more better in LWW than in PC. I guess because her development within the story was better in the first one and you understood her being practical and motherly to her siblings "Be a big girl" that was her main purpose. In PC she's not the typical Susan and like many others have said, it could have been her foreshadowing that made her seem different. I don't know I felt as though her story was very unuseful, it didn't seem to go anywhere or take off like she was in the first.

I like her in pc because simply she was more interesting.
Susan in LWW without a doubt. I loved her in that movie, meanwhile I think they changed her too much for PC. Her fighting was a nice addition- rather than keeping her out. But the whole Susan/Caspian thing really irks me. And for that alone I liked her less.
LWW. No doubt. At all. Whatsoever.
I hated Suspian and her whole attitude and the way she carried herself. Idk. Fighting was ok except for but she seemed to, erm, epic I guess? Her throwing arrows was cheesy. Anyway, LWW was better b/c she made more sense I guess. You understood her. In PC I think she's drastically different.
now that I have thought about it more, I like her best in LWW! I still like her in PC a little bit, but LWW is the best!

Wow...this is a hard one. I think they stuck to her character more in LWW, yet I kind of [actually] liked the warrior side of her in PC. Some people scorn this side of her, but it's kind of like she's showing that girls are just as good as guys (if you know what I mean).
"Are you sure you're eighteen?"
"Why? Do I look older?"
This is the esaiest so far, LWW! Unlike some other things the two older moive pevensies don't seem to get better with age.
memento mori
I would hav to agree with lover of narnia because PC is my ultimate favorite movie too...so far. Susan was more defined as a ruler in PC i think. she is not such a know it all and we see her more a queen. Of course everyone is entitled to there opinion. The whole.romance between her and Caspian not only added to her character but also Caspians. And quite frankly most of the plot. And just for the record i do love Anna in both films. So i like susan better in PC.

*laughs a bit* this argument is one that my sister and I had for a long time after we saw the movie. My sister hates Susan in PC I don't mind her, we debated and debated till we finally agreed to disagree and to stop arguing about it, life went back to normal after that. The question of who I like better is a rather tough one for me. I generally like Susan more in LWW, her character and they way she behaved are closer to the book than in PC. I also liked the way she was, her views on things and the way she conducted herself more in LWW than in PC. But I liked her in PC as well I didn't mind the fact that she was in the battles was fine with me, I like it when women participate in the battle (I guess that is because I have two sisters who do archery and two sisters who do sword fighting). I thought it was fun that she finally got to participate in a battle since before when she was a queen she didn't really participate. Her relationship with Caspian is also fine with me, I don't really think that they fell in love or anything, I thought of it more of an attraction for each other. I mean it was easy for Caspian to catch her attention, he was young, good looking, rather charming and so on. I don't really like to think that they were truly in love with one another (I think they were both a little to young for that) but that they were attracted to each other was perfectly fine and even seemed natural for me. And though the kiss in the end was a suprise for me when I first saw the movie I actually kind of liked it. I think Anna did a great job as Susan both in LWW and PC, and I didn't really mind the changes that they gave Susan
always be humble and kind
There really isn’t a huge difference between Susan in PC to the one in LWW. She isn’t as much of a skeptic. Susan is still practical and has a cool demeanor. The only obvious change is she takes part in battle. Despite this change to her character, she still remains collected and very much exhibits the grace of a queen. I don’t think she acts like a blood thirsty huntress. Some have complained when discussing her part in the battles and the night raid. I won`t go into that. The topic is over done.
Anyway as far as the Susan and Caspian thing goes it didn`t bother me. The movie could have done just as well without it. I wished they kept the deleted scenes. It would have helped develop their relationship and made the final moments with the kiss more solid.
Although to be perfectly honest her fighting wasn`t necessary nor was the romance. The changes definitely brought more diversity to her character . It could be a good or a bad thing it all depends on how you view it. The real problem is that you can`t add on new elements to a character and leave it underdeveloped. She suffered from the same problem as Peter ,film makers add on more elements and don`t do what it takes to fully develop the changes.
I like Susan in LWW a lot more then Susan in PC. I don't know why. Maybe because I generally lile LWW more.
