I loved her innocence and child-like faith in LWW. I also loved the child like faith that matured into a firm faith by PC.
I disagree though, DamselJillPole. That is a direct quote from the book and, in my opinion, showed how she was willing to do whatever Aslan required of her, no matter if she though she couldn't do it herself.
I saw the movie....and was disappointed

I know but that wasn't my point.
Also I reread for that direct quote and couldn't find it.
I was just saying that because I was irritated by the idea of having Lucy the Valiant in PC Lucy the Gentle. As if her sister Susan took her place. That's why I feel Lucy in LWW was better.

I've got to both agree and disagree with Damsel. (Can I call you Damsel?)
They tried to have Lucy's innocence recaptured, like in LWW; it didn't work out so well. If they had let Georgie play the character like she did in LWW, it would have made PC better. However, I think that Lucy was still brave in some moments, but more stilted, more practiced. She was less free and impulsive.
That, and it seemed like Lucy should be the fighter, not Susan. If you remember from HHB, Lucy rode with the army and was an archer in the battle with Prince Rabadash. Susan could have gone too, but in the words of the Dwarfs: "She doesn't care for battles." Yet, her character couldn't be more twisted in PC. Susan is the Valiant, Lucy is the Gentle. I vote LWW.
I think Lucy was quite a bit more innocent in LWW...I think it's cause she looked so young. But personally I liked her better in PC...
In terms of movies, I liked Lucy better in the LWW, because of her already-mentioned-many times innocence, her adventurous-ness, and how she played such a critical role in the story. The PC movie focused more on the fighting and such, and Lucy didn't seem to have a terribly important role other than keep faith in Aslan (which, while very important, sort of left her out--or kept her in the background--of quite a lot of the movie). I really liked Lucy's long hair in PC, though.
Between the books, I like Lucy in both (Lucy is one of my favorite characters, and I like her in every book that she appears in ). She has different roles in each, but they're all central to the story.
After reading more comments and why you liked her better in these different movies, I really agree with 220chrisTian!!! I truly am starting to like her equally in both. Everyone pointed out different things out of each movie which made me realize that she was spectacular in both LWW and PC. I love the innocence in LWW, but also the strength and faith in PC. Great job, Georgie!!!

Of course Lucy was less impulsive. She's older because the time in Narnia and a year has passed.

I liked her in both Film's
Definitely more like the Lucy i imagined in LW&W, first Lucy line that comes to mind is always "And actually, I'm tallest in my class" her innocence and naturalness to the character seemed so perfect! In PC think her acting needed a bit of work, but I agree with everyone else about the innocence trying to be there, but not really.
One thing I had hoped was that they would let the Lucy character in PW grow up a little with the character, and seem, not ladylike as much as Susan, but she was a queen, and though she will always have the little sister attitude, we didn't' get to see much of what Queen Lucy would have been like in PW. Whereas with Peter, Susan and Edmund we saw glimpses of the King and Queens they had become inside and out.
I hope we'll get to see the same Lucy we love in VoDT, but see more of Queen Lucy!
December just can't come fast enough....

I agree with decarus, i think they made her more innocent to LWW.
I liked her in both, but i definitely thought she had a better character in the first one.

Its a tie.
I like Lucy in LWW because she's innocent and adventurous.
In PC I like how she sticks to her beliefs and that she's sympathetic and gentle.
And in both I think she's kind, loyal, and brave.
"The mountains are calling and I must go, and I will work on while I can, studying incessantly." -John Muir
"Be cunning, and full of tricks, and your people will never be destroyed." -Richard Adams, Watership Down
I liked her in both, but yeah, she seemed more innocent in LWW. Although, I loved her long hair in PC! She's still loyal to Aslan in PC, so that's what's really important!
"Are you sure you're eighteen?"
"Why? Do I look older?"
Oh, is this hard! I'd hae to say LWW. If it was a score of 1-10, LWW lucy would get 11 and PC lucy a 10.7 (dose that make any sense?)
memento mori
It does make sense, Boy Scout. And I agree with you that Lucy in LWW definatley ranks 11, and in PC 10!!!
