Jill & Eustace: I like the way Lewis put these two characters together as friends rather like brother and sister (we are not told whether Jill has siblings, but she seems a bit solitary). That sort of friendship can grow into love as adults in real life, but in the stories there isn't time for it - they are still at boarding school and haven't moved into adult social life yet.

The suggestion they would be "college students" in TLB - I don't think the movie would have to follow the book and be "seven years after SC" - I think that the children who see the film need to be able to identify enough with Eustace and Jill, for which high school (UK secondary school) would be okay but university or college would not. The actors can certainly play 16-17 year olds even if they are in their 20s.

Back to the topic: if I were to give a grudging vote for any sort of attraction between a male and a female character in the movie it would probably be Jill and Tirian (can't believe I am saying this!) - Tirian respects Jill, she is a bright young lady who shows courage and initiative, and I'm sure she is pleasant looking too. How could he not be attracted? Jill is also at an age where she is noticing young men, and would would definitely notice Tirian. They are thrown together in a dramatic situation, which is ideal for emotions to spin around.
But it would be light-weight, more a few looks and smiles, and without the dialogue from PC.

I know most people say there shouldn't be any romance in LB..but if they can put in Suspian there is a big chance they will put in another romance...Eusatce and Jill: I half like the idea..they are wonderful friends and maybe a small crush through out the movie hinting they slightly like each...Tirian and Jill:it could work depends on the age of the actors if they are in a similar age it could work but not my favorite...Emeth and Lucy:I like the idea..they both have spent there life totally devoted to Aslan I just don't want it to take away from them entering Aslans country..Ed and Jill: I would have to say my favorite pick..I always imagined them together in the end( I have no idea why) cause they would somewhat know each other from England and Ed didn't have as many friends to catch up with(Lucy and Tumnas+ Digory and Polly with Fledge+ Tirian with Jewel + Peter with the centar...I forgot his name + Eustace with Reep and Jill with Puddleglum...who does Ed catch up with??? it would be nice if she just walked up to him to talk and they smiled at each other kind of romance.......Tirian and Lucy:could work they could show him fondly looking at each other and him liking her voice.....

Just out a curiosity, wouldn't it be horrible if ALL of these romances happened in LB? Even the fans of added romances have to admit that'd be a bit (or a LOT) or the scary side!

Seriously, it would be a mess... Every other scene would be one of those horrible smooch scenes and it would be a romance movie instead of an adventure!

I could only see Eustace and Jill romantically involved in an alternate universe world after they're done with school and are much older, probably university/college age. It would have to be an adult romantic relationship though as Coracle mentioned above.

It would be a bit terrible if all the romances were added......or not....I don't know, I'm such a big fan of romance that I wouldn't really mind (yeah well like I said I am a hopless romantic, and I'm not proud of it either, but there is little I can do about it ).

oh I do like that idea, it's really cool and sweet but at the same time nice and friendly and not too over romantic (cause although I am a fan of romances I don't like them to be over done.) So far I think I like this idea best I wouldn't mind having some sort of romance but if they made something like this I would be real satisfied and happy
