Again very pretty!
I love the first one in the newer photos, she's getting prettier then Anna.
Yes Narnian_Archer, what do you mean by saying the opposite?
Are you saying she's not pretty?

Sorry, I didn't mean it in that way at all...I meant she's very different from before. She's very pretty, very beautiful--very grown up. I really do like her.

I love Georgie's look in the trailer! She's older now, and it shows. She still looks sweet. I love her lines and screen time too.
Favorite shots of Lucy/Georgie from the trailer
[with Aslan ... she looks pensive or sad ]
[Fav of favs ... Lucy's really happy!]
[Already contemplating the beauty spell? ... which Georgie doesn't need! ]
[Lucy looks great. I'm not sure what's going on in the scene, though. ]
Already contemplating the beauty spell? ... which Georgie doesn't need!
I know, isn't that funny? One thing about Sophie Wilcox, who played Lucy in the BBC version... by worldly standards, she wasn't very pretty. So it made perfect sense for her to read the beauty spell. With Georgie... not so much.
I know. Georgie is a very gorgeous young lady and so is Lucy. I was very surprised watching the trailer and seeing that. Susan doesn't look pretty at all in her cameos. Lucy and Lilliandil are both the pretty ones i think.

I agree completely. When I first saw her in the trailer I thought she was Anna. I was wondering if Susan was making a cameo when it hit me half a second later that was Georgie. I have been following the Dawn Treader pictures on Narniaweb and I was still shocked by how different she looks. She looks a lot like Anna now and she looks a lot like her real older sister (the woman who played old Lucy in LWW). Now I really want the filmmakes to make HHB so Anna, Skandar, and Georgie can play the older Pevensies.

That's part of what makes the temptation of the beauty spell so profound. She doesn't actually need it, but she thinks she does because of how everyone reacts to Susan. I've always felt a large part of Lucy' journey in VDT was learning to value herself for who she is instead of comparing herself to Susan (which probably happens often) or other girls. In this day and age, where so many girls her age are truly tormented by body issues and comparing themselves to others, that's a strong message to grab onto. Adolescent Lucy could become a very good role model.
Now that Georgie's more grown up, I hope they let her do some more action-oriented scenes. I think the production was afraid to let her get involved in it in PC because she was younger than the other actors (hence the painfully out of character arm-twisting scene with Nikabrik. Everyone else remembers their battle skills, why not her?). While that's understandable, it really took away from her character, and she became sort of a maxim-quoting Jiminey Crickett instead of a Joan of Arc.
^ Ditto to everything you said in the first paragraph, Maenad. I've always related to Lucy in that way as well, and I believe that she can definitely be a character for a lot of girls to relate to. The beauty spell makes her a bit more vulnerable, and it shows us that she really is human...and that she deals with the same things all of us do.
I also think that it would be neat to see Lucy do some action scenes as well. As long as it's not excessive, and handled in the right way, I wouldn't mind it too much. I think it would help add something to her character as well (like you said, in PC she kind of lost some of the adventurousness...) I certainly don't want to see her take part in as many battles as Susan did...but that's another discussion for another topic.
Welcome to NW, by the way!

Back in the day when I used to do such things, I was working on a Narnia fanfic that took place somewhere in the middle of the Golden Age when they were all grown up, and Lucy became sort of a field medic. That image struck me when I first read the books when I was 10. She seemed like the one who was trained to fight and could do it well, but her purpose in the army was to tend to wounded soldiers in the field. Anyone who's seen a war film knows that that's an intense and heart breaking job, but the core of Lucy's character seems cut out for it. She's a strong female in all the right ways, which is part of why I'm glad these movies are being made.
As for her action scenes...is it foolish to cling to a hope for HHB? I want to see Corin in all his 12 year old boy glory being in awe of how awesome Queen Lucy is.
Maenad, welcome to the forum!
@DOECOG & De_De: I'm not seeing a resemblance between Georgie and Anna. So I'm rather confused on this point. But maybe it's just me. But I do think Georgie's starting to look more like her sister Rachael, especially in the photoshoot.
@DOECOG & Maenad: I would love to see HHB -- the Pevensies all grown up! I never felt that way until yesterday. But as grown up as they are, assuming HHB comes out in 2014 or 2015 [ ], I think Will, Anna, Skandar, and Georgie would be perfect in these roles. I don't see why the production would need or want to use different actors.
@Maenad: interesting thoughts on the beauty spell, and Lucy's potential as an adolescent role model.
@Maenad & Mountain: I want Lucy to have more action scenes as well. And I think she will, according to the trailer. In one scene, she's wearing a sword at her side. In another, she's using a bow and arrows! I think the book mentions King Caspian bringing the Pevensie treasure chest. But it only mentions Lucy using the healing potion. What about the other stuff, Peter's sword and Susan's bow and arrows? They're not they're to use them, so why not Edmund and Lucy?
Maenad: Now that you mention it, I definitely see Lucy's strong personality, and how compassionate she is. I remember being struck by her courage and strength when I first read the books too, and picturing her as a field medic of sorts as well (which is a really neat idea!). I'm hoping that they draw out that strength of character even more in VDT.
220chrisTian: Good point. If I remember correctly, after PC there was no real mention of Peter & Susan's gifts. They're some of my favorite props so I would love it if they brought them back. Lucy was said to be an archer in HHB, after all, so it would make sense if she used Susan's bow & arrows.
