220Christian - they were aiming at the accent known as RP (Received Pronunciation) which is used by only some Londoners and by middle class/upper middle class people. There are a lot of local accents in London, best known of which is Cockney (inner east London). [There is also a 'general' London accent which has developed in the last 15 years, due to people mixing a lot more - Anna has a posh version of it - it's referred to as Estuary English]

Coracle: thank you! I didn't know all that! But I think I know Cockney ... Eastenders? Or do they use some other accent? Kipling loved to use Cockney with his soldiers.

I think they're getting it or keeping it wet. For some reason, both Georgie and Skandar's hair is wet in these pics. I think the same is true for MLG. Someone in the "8-9 year old on board the Dawn Treader" thread [General movie discussion] noted the possibility that being in the hold of a ship as slaves could make their hair wet. Hope this helps.

220Christian - yes, EastEnders is Cockney. Mr Beaver was voiced with a good Cockney accent too.

They managed to keep Lucy's innocence by the way VotDT is looking, which is good. Lucy is the innocent pure one, she's all about Aslan, even more than 'Narnia'. She's always been a favourite here! : D

I actually don't think she looks a lot older than in PC... I mean, you can definitely tell that she's older, but to me the difference isn't really that shocking.

I love the pic of her with her hair in a towel...I cant find it right now. I think she looks so charming and innocent. they made the perfect choice for lucy when they picked georgie.
