I'm excited to see the end in VDT when Lucy hugs Reepicheep...I wonder how Georgie will interpret that in her acting?
I saw the movie....and was disappointed
@Narnian: Don't equate narniacharacters.com with the film. Please keep this in mind. A character profile is one thing. The movie is another.
Also, there's a "Voyage of the Characters" thread here on the forum. Check it out. viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1678&p=102513
@Eustace: interesting thoughts on Lucy...
220chrisTian, narniancharacters.com is official, not fan based. If it was fan based, then I would not put any stock in it, but since it comes from Official Narnia, this is how it will be in the movie. Thank you for telling me about the other thread though; I did not know that and will move my post.

I think the film makers are building the beauty theme up too much. They are starting to lose sight of the true essence of Lucy`s dilemma. In the book she over hears girls making remarks about her and feels bad. If my memory serves me well I believe that is what took place. I saw Lucy`s theme as one of self-acceptance and personal empowerment. She realizes that being herself is good enough. This is reestablished by telling Gael that she should only want to be herself. Lucy wanting to be like Susan vs Gael wanting to be like Lucy comes into play here. This shouldn`t have anything to do with boys. This is about personal growth. She is too preoccupied with her looks. What boys are they talking about ? Caspian ?! He is like an older brother to her.
I think their trying to develop a theme with a girl on the verge of becoming a woman and all the awkwardness involved. I guess they think beauty and boys is all that sums up the situation. There are growing pains and self-discovery that go far beyond what they are reaching for. I always saw the beauty spell as something very personal and deeper. Maybe I`m going to far with this idea.
MaidenOfNarnia, I totally agree with you.

@Maiden: excellent thoughts. I agree. The beauty spell Lucy encounters is much more personal and deeper than just wanting to be liked by boys and the whole growing-up process. But I don't know that I agree with this.

Lucy encounters two spells/temptations in the book. One is personal beauty and the other is eavesdropping on friends. She barely avoids the first and succumbs to the second -- to make up for not saying the first. Lucy must be herself, but who is that self? This is what is being tested. And this is what the beauty spell is all about. Lucy learns what true beauty is. She learns to look in the right mirror - Aslan - not the wrong mirror - herself / Susan (others). Self-empowerment? Aslan is the source of Lucy's power/strength, not herself.
Earlier this week, I wrote an entry for the new Christian Narnia devotional we started at Aslan's Country a month ago. It's all about the comparison between Lucy and Susan in relation to true beauty. Check it out!
Nice article. She does gain her strength from Aslan. Perhaps self-empowerment was the wrong term. Perhaps freedom of gaining self-worth is a better way to put it. That`s what I was going for.
Thanks, Maiden.
There's a new movie still of Lucy, from Narnia France. This still is what appears on The Movie Storybook. Check it out!

Thanks for sharing, 220chrisTian! It's beautiful. Here's two stills of Georgie with Arabella (Gael's actress ) These are originally off of Arabella's facebook page, but I found them on a blog online while doing a Georgie image search. NarnianCricket has a nicer one that she wants to share, too.

Aww those are SO sweet! I can't wait to see them in the movie together.
I wonder if Arabella views Georgie as a role model the way Gael does to Lucy?

Thanks to Google news alerts, I found more images of Georgie from the recent Alisa Connan photoshoot. Check them out!

Aww she's all grown up! Love her long hair, hope it stays long forever. She looks a little like Bella from Twilight, don't you think?

Those are some great pics, 220ChrisTian. Looking forward to seeing more pics of Georgie & the entire cast @ the premiere, which can't come soon enough. Anybody else literally counting down the days until Dawn Treader arrives in theaters? It's definitely my favorite book in the series.
Its hard to imagine that this person is the same little girl we saw in LWW. Beautiful pictures.

Check out the new video of Georgie, Skandar, & Will P. promoting Dawn Treader. Georgie's gotten so tall. She's pretty close boys' heights.
