I tend to think of Jill as more of a dirty blonde.

In anycase, I would never suggest that the acting bit isn't incredibly important (because it is), but rather I think it should first come to looks. She's got to "look" to be the same age as Will (whatever age he appears to be in your head), whether she is Will's age or younger doesn't mean much as long as she's able to pull off being in Eustace Scrubb's class.

I would probably be opposed to anyone under 14 taking on Jill's role... I don't really have a reason, lol. I just think she should maybe be closer to Will's actual age. Yes, there are some girls who can act well at younger ages, but with age comes maturity. A girl closer to Will's age might have a better chance of blending in with how he portrays Eustace's character than a younger girl... thoughts?

I think the girl who plays Jill should be a girl who wants really to act Jill an have read the book. Not just a girl who think this as a job. Because I think she acts better if she does it for herself not the fame and now all the story like the boy who plays Harry Potter. It is just that I think.

The atcress who portrays her should look at it and think of it as a job. That's what acting is. Most and some actors read the books before auditioning and sometimes after getting the part. Actors do do their research so don't worry about that.

This is why I want an experienced actor instead.

I prefer unknown actresses, cause if it´s a known actress eberybody will go: " Look it´s ( actresses name ) " instead of " Look! It´s Jill and Eustace! "

I want an unknown too but i wouldnt mind if a semi-known actress gets the role either, I just want her to be experienced and look at the part as Jill Pole as an actual job and not just because a person thinks it'll be fun. It's going to take harsh dedication and work for over 12 months and maybe even longer.

That's because, at the time, he was 14.

Will was cast as Eustace after having done one movie (the Son of Rambo or something like that) and he began on the set of VotDT at 15. So, yeah, he was that age when they were filming. The girl who plays Jill might not be able to get away with being so young considering how much Will has changed and matured over the years. Any girl they choose will have to match Will regardless of her age.

I think whomever they choose will be good or else extremely dedicated. A person who is dedicated to their character, whether they are perceived as a "good" actor/actress or not, usually portrays the character with aplomb. Sometimes even talented actors and actresses lose sight of the actual character and I would absolutely hate it if that happened with Jill because she is such a strong character in the books.

she'd be okay like the hair but her face doesn't scream Jill to me maybe because of how much makeup she is wearing and i think Jill should be 15- 17 no older maybe an older looking 14 year old
