JillPoleFan565: Nope, not I. Just someone I found as I was perusing deviantart. I don't know what her age is, but we all know Will Poulter's 18th birthday is rapidly approaching; so anyone they choose is likely to be the same age or within a few years younger.

Anyway, I don't think I could see Dakota Richards playing Jill. I think I would prefer to see an experienced unknown actress rather than someone popular... but that's just me :p

Ok, Jill is a very complex character. But I am going to stary away from what she LOOKS like, more what she ACTS like.

I completely agree It's what the character thinks and feels that are the really fundamental point's an actress needs to put across not a particular hairdo, just my opinion. Maybe I'm mad who knows?

No, I don't think you're mad, I agree with that statement. However, I am also of the opinion that great actresses are sometimes born and not made. She could be a phenomenal actress, but if she doesn't fit the description of the character, then she's rendered as useless.

With acting, usually people just need a slight nudge in the right direction. A little bit of faith can go a long way when you're working with a newer actress/actor. A lot of times there's raw talent there that has yet to be unlocked and it doesn't take much to release it. You can't change everything about their looks, though, especially for a character like Jill that requires the minimum of the make-up artists' skills.

That's why I find "looks first, skills later" to be the best direction to go in situations like these. However, I trust that the casting directors will know what they're doing when they cast their girl. Doubtless, she'll be marvelous. But again, yes, I would MUCH prefer to see an unknown actress, or even a lightly known actress rather than someone I've seen before (especially if they've already played a similar character in the past).

quote="Wind_Eagle"]C.S. Lewis mentioned Jill DID have curls, at least I think he did, when they still don't know[ they are to be eaten by the 'friendly giants', and they act kind of foolishly, Lewis mentions that Jill moves her hair this way and that, shaking her curls, in a very stupid and childish way (and then the giantesses all start crying and saying that it's a shame....). I can't be completely sure, since I don't have my copy anywhere near, but could someone please check for me? .

I've checked you're right but since in Harfang she's dressed up by allot of frankly idiotic giantesses and she's being deliberately childish she could have had it curled, but really what does it matter?

Ok. I´m going to discribe what I think Jill should be or look like:
Hair: maybe a dark blond, not brown, just darker than blond
Eyes: I think she should have a dark green eyes, not too light, maybe hazel.
Body: Not sooooooo skinny, but on the right weight
Age: I think it can be from 12-15 or 16, any of those ages, but she needs to look like if she is in Eustace´s grade.
Personality: Show off and stubborn. ( at the begging )
British Accent: Yes, maybe a American girl who can do a good british accent or a british girl. I think the most important thing is being able to act at Will P´s level, or more.
Other: I think they need to stick to unknowns!

perfect_jill_pole, I fit much of your description! :D

Also, age should not go on Will Poulter's in my opinion, but on the age he looks. He's almost 18, but Jill can be 12 or 20, I don't care, as long as she looks as old as Will. :D

I agree with the statement above. :)

I don't think Will looks any younger than the age he is, though... of course that's personal opinion and up for debate. Did you know he's taller than Skandar now? I think they are most likely going to have to cast an older girl between the ages of 15-17. But you never really know.

I think what really matters is how the actress will act and not her age! They can cast a 12 year old that looks that she is about 14/15. I really care about her acting.

I agree on all accounts that the acting is the most important detail that makes an actor adored. But I want to be able to look at the future actress for Jill and say, "Wow, she looks like Jill." Make Jill a blonde, brunette, or even a redhead, but if I can't feel sastified with her looks (like I said, acting's more important, but I'm only focusing on the appearance), it'll be hard for me to be drawn in by her for a while or forever. ;)

I would have disagree about jill being blonde i think blonde is to girlly and Jill is the Kick but Girl of the books i think she should either be a light brunette or plain brunette. I would even be okay with red hair but not blonde never blonde its just to much.

I think the girl who plays Jill should be a girl who wants really to act Jill an have read the book. Not just a girl who think this as a job. Because I think she acts better if she does it for herself not the fame and now all the story like the boy who plays Harry Potter. It is just that I think.

I cant really imagine Jill with brown hair, I imagine her more with a dark blond, almost a light brown, maybe a golden colored blond.
