So what's your biggest concern with SC Jill? What do the producers need to get right for her character to work? What things should they not do?

They need to make sure that Eustace and Jill are not already close friends! And that they aren't two teens off on a whirlwind romance adventure, either!!

I don't want someone casted who will only do it just because it is their favorite character and then get an agent and a spot to audition. It needs to be the people who are eligible in the acting world who already have acting resumes and are experienced. No one random.

If you think about it, in the movies they have made so far, there has been romance in 2/3 movies. It's probable they won't include another romance in SC. Most likely the romance with Jill and Eustace (having become such good friends) or Jill and Rilian (having spent time together) will occur in LB. That is, if they do produce both of those movies... I hope they do! They're my favorite books! I personally hope there is NO romance whatsoever between Jill and Eustace, but it's not really up to me...

For 1 I wrote this a long time ago so my opinion on it has changed a little.

Another, you do need an acting experience or a lot of skill to play such a part in a big movie deal. Last and not least without an agent you cant get into something like this period. You need an agent.

i agree they don't have to for say have film experience but at least been involved in after school theatre programs or something like that.

I think that anyone should be able to audition to for Jill---although it would require a LOT more work I think the benefits of having open auditions may outweigh the negetives. However, realisticly, I doubt that just anyone could walk away with the part. You'd need to be either an EXTREMELY talented actress, or at least have some acting experience, and I think it's reasonable to expect they'll want someone who is British (and has a British accent) instead of going out of their way to hire and train someone so young and new.

Well, this is a link that seems to be causing some commotion in the "jill pole advice" board under movie news. It's obviously a picture of Edmund and Aslan that's been tampered with to look as though Jill Pole is standing on the cliff with Aslan. It seems the girl who created this is making the statement that she would like to play Jill... based on her looks... I would love to see her on screen! Based on her acting ability... no idea... she really hasn't said much about herself.

What do you all think of this unknown girl?
