I like it too, it's just the bangs and clothes that I might fix (of course there are a lot more details too).

I think she should be on the shorter side, fairly slender with medium to light brown or dirty blonde hair and perhaps hazel eyes. That's kind of how I always pictured her. Oh, and not curly hair, but not straight either, just kind of wavy.

Honestly, I always liked the BBC Jill. She is one of the actors from the BBC version that I actually really liked. So I'm hoping for someone who looks like her!

Me too, that's kind of how I picture her still. I think Camilla Power was a great choice! However, I think it would be neat if this time she was a bit shorter and maybe with more brownish eyes. Since I think in the BBC she has blue eyes, and so do all the Pevensies in the new movies. It would be a nice difference.

^Yeah, I remember liking the BBC Jill a lot! :)

I don't really know who I want to be Jill, but I do want her to look about Will's age if that's all. Although I wouldn't mind her being a blonde, I've always imagined her in the movie with sandy brown to golden brown hair, and any eyes will do for me. I think she'd be short(about Eustace's height), and I agree that she should be sort of slender.

I don't know what actress they'll choose yet, but I'd like it if she wasn't that well known (or wasn't known yet) as an actor, or had been in very few (or no) movies before like Will Poulter, Will Mosely, Anna Popplewell, and the rest. I hope the lucky winner will be a huge suprise, and also fit perfectly for the part! ;) :-bd

^Well you said she must be short, around Will's height but, judging by the recent pictures of him he's about 5'8"-5'9"! So shed have to be that height or a bit shorter ( like 5'7") :) Also I agree with you that she should have sandy blond/brown hair and I wouldn't mind blond either! I am hoping for someone unknown and someone with hazel eyes! Can't wait to see who it will be!! :D

Poulter is growing so fast, I'm not sure what age Jill should look like she should be. As long as they look about the same age, and they look like children/teens, and not adults, I'll be happy.

I'm more concerned about the acting of course. I hope who ever they choose, that the actress will be good and that she will work well with Will Poulter. :)

Thank you so much for posting this!
I know it isn't official Info but it is realy useful because i am an actress (Just started out officialy but I do have an agent) And i also love Narnia. I am realy interested in the role of Jill but all of my searches have just ended up in disappointment untill now. Its great to know that they haven't cast her yet so thanks!!! :) I also hope that they do open auditions because i know that it isn't as efficient as closed castings but then they will get to see all of the unrepresented talant in the UK. I know how frustrating it is to know that a role is being cast but any contact you try to make with a C D ends up pointless.
Sorry about this ramble, i just wanted to say that this is useful!

Welcome to NarniaWeb, CharlotteRose. Actors and actresses are most certainly welcome here. :) I mean, what would the movies be without them? :D :-o

I'm sure whatever news we get about the Silver Chair and Jill Pole will be posted somewhere here. I hope they do open auditions as well. First though, VDT must succeed and then we shall see.

[quote="NarniaWeb Movie FAQ: The Silver Chair":j2g0ui79]It's my life dream to play Jill — can you tell me how to audition?
We receive emails on an almost weekly basis from young ladies dying to play the coveted role of Jill Pole. However, at this time there is NO CASTING for Jill Pole. The Silver Chair must be greenlit before casting can begin, and it will not be greenlit until after The Voyage of the Dawn Treader is released in theaters. We will keep this page updated with any news that we hear. In the meantime, our best advice to those seeking an audition is to make sure you have a good agent.

CharlotteRose, welcome to Narnia Web!

Now that VDT is almost out and done with(sounds harsh doesn't it?), I'm sure SC will soon start to be greenlit and pre-production will start rolling; then after that: Jill Pole! We've all pretty much agreed that she should have sandy blonde/brown hair and green/hazel eyes, but what about Jill from an acting standpoint? What are Jill's characteristics, how does she mature and grow in the movie? What are her best(and worst) qualities?

I saw the movie....and was disappointed

I want to see Jill develop from a scared defensive underdog of a girl who'll do anything to protect herself from the things that frighten her, into a confident and cooperative girl who shows real courage in the face of real danger to help others and achieve her goals.
That's not too much to ask is it?
Oh yes, I look forward to seeing her learn the skills of outdoor living, shooting with a bow, getting a campfire going quickly, even dealing with the 'catch' (fish and bird).

There, shining in the sunrise, larger than they had seen him before, shaking his mane (for it had apparently grown again) stood Aslan himself.

I don't think that's too much to ask, coracle. I love seeing people gain confidence in themselves, especially because I've experienced it before. I don't know what all the themes are in SC (I intend to find out soon), but Jill's arch is very important and something that we've all experienced at one time! ;)

And as for her friendship with Eustace, I like the idea that the two aren't really friends at all(more like buddies because they've both had been bullied by "them"), but then as they work together to find Prince Rillian, they slowly but surely they become really good friends by the end of the movie. I can't wait to see that if they put that in! :D

I want her to be as she is in the books; Jill's not like sweet like Lucy or grown-up like Susan; She still has a temper, and frankly, she's a whiner. I'd like to see that. I mean not a Eustace-type whiner, but still just that hint of immaturity in her behaviors. And then she slowly grows out of it by her experiences, becoming not a little girl but a young woman who really matured when reality hit.

So basically, she's bit of a wimp. Then Narnia happens, and she's in shock. And then she goes back to her whiny ways. But once she pulls herself together (at Harfang, after half the book ), she really turns out to be quite the little heroine.

Is that too general a characterisation?

Sadly, Hollywood loves having "troubled"(aka: brats) kids in their movies and I'm afraid they might try do that in one of the Narnia movies before long(Eustace and Ed don't count because you are not supposed to like them).I could give you a long list of movies where the ones you are supposed to be rooting are such jerks you almost want to turn the movie off.
They are probably going to try and expand the petty disagreements they have on the way to Harfang like they are doing with Lucy's beauty.
They had better not though X( X(

Oh dear, I hope not. I don't like how much they're expanding the whole Lucy and beauty thing. :-s :((
