If she does have blonde it definately should be dirty blonde.
Normal blonde is too girly for her.

Red might be alright if it was a strawberry blond. I definitely can't picture her with black hair.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned it, but Madeline Carroll would be lovely for Jill. She has rich brown/gold/red hair and very expressive eyes. There are some people, myself included, who would love it if the actress for Jill was an "unknown", in which case, Madeline wouldn't work very well since she has been in quite a few films. But it's always good to throw around some ideas

I like Madeline Carroll is a great choice, but doesn't she look a little young? If Will Poulter is, 17 (I think his age is around there) then she looks a little small. It doesn't necessarily matter how old the actress is, but how old she looks on camera. Since Eustace and Jill are in the same grade (I believe) then I think they should cast an older Jill to match Will's age. (I do know that Will looks younger on camera, but still.)

Madeline Carroll is 14, and by the time they get around to filming SC she would probably be 16. As you pointed out, JillPoleWannabe123, Will looks younger than he actually is (which is great for what we want him for, but I'd hate to be 17 and look 13 ) so Madeline would look the perfect age. But about her being small, didn't we recently talk about Jill being rather small or slight or however you want to say it? I believe Dernhelm_of_Rohan posted the quote from LB by Eustace, "She's so small, that's what helps".

I don't really think that Madeline Carroll looks right for the part of Jill. I believe that Jill should have sandy/dirty blond hair and green/hazel eyes. Madeline's hair is a bit too dark! (I'm sorry to everyone who thinks different but this is just what I think! )

I agree, her facial structure is beautiful! If the Silver Chair starts filming, say, February of 2011, she should be about 16. It seems the right age, so the actress should be about 13-14 now. Also, I was hoping her hair would be a little lighter, Madeline's looks pretty dark. Maybe her eyes would be more green/blue... Oh my gosh I'm really picky!!

I really like the looks of Holly Bodimeade, Eustace. She has very expressive eyes. With the impending release of VDT, hopefully we'll have some news of some pre production stuff for SC; maybe even an open casting call for Jill!!!

Madeline Carroll really does fit the role of Jill perfectly I think. She's the best suggestion I've seen on this forum yet.

I think Julianna Rose Mauriello looks the best as for suggestions. However, based on what I've seen for Will Poulter, casting a 12 to 14 year old would look just right. It would be great if we had a 21st century copy of Camilla Powers for Jill (she played Jill in the BBC version)!
As for personality, I think she is mostly opposite from me: (SC) childish, funny, selfish, boastful, and brave and adventuresome. (LB) definitely changed and learned and grown-up, everything LIKE me, opposite of SC except for funny and brave and adventuresome.

I like the way the BBC Jill looked, now that is the way I always imagine her.
