I really want Jilstace. Makes for a good story. The former bully and hsi former victim become friends and...maybe more? They belong togehter. They fight and forgive like a couple already. Though forgiveness is important in friendships too. And fighting isn't good.

I'm cool with all your opinions but i like mine very well. Coracle, LB takes place in 1949 and SC took place in 1942. That's seven years difference. Eustace is being played out as fourteen, add seven years later he's 21. So yes I think that would have been plenty of time if Eustace and Jill wanted to be together. They aren't. They are friends. A guy and a girl can be friends.

Jill/Tirian I find can work.
Tirian: Will you come with me?
Jill: Of course. It's you we've come to help(The illustration showing Tirian reaching out for Jill's hand is cute and you can tell Eustace is struggling, "Nope I'm alright don't worry about me.")
Tirian asks if Jill had skill with a bow, Jill blushes.
An archery practice between them might be shown in the movie.Tirian also compliments her and grows fond of her bravery.
Tirian ignores to explain about Tash first seeing him to the others by slipping his arm around Jill asking if she was okay.
Things like this from the book could be worked out on screen to make it seem romantic since they did spend lots of time together. I was told in the past that Tirian was only being chivalrous to Jill, but too much chivalry is an act of love as well.
Besides, there couldn't be a Jill/Tirian relationship because there is a Tirian/Lucy relationship. It's subtle, but it's in there. He says he loves the sound of her voice and said, in a matter of speaking, that he would do anything for her.
I saw the movie....and was disappointed
Jill Pole, in my mind, is as follows.
Tall, with about shoulder length light brown hair and blue (not light or dark- just medium) eyes. I know that the description sounds a bit like Anna Popplewell, but I wasn't imagining her as tall as Anna. Her height is dependent on how tall Will Poulter is. And I think that Will's fifteen or sixteen or so, so I would think that whoever plays Jill ought to be at least thirteen so the ages aren't that different. Long legs, a bit gangly, you might say. A "brow that easily furrows but can just as easily smile". Very adventurous and willing to play practical jokes. Spunky, agreed. Someone who isn't a girly-girl and who isn't the sort of person who giggles and blushes whenever a boy asks her a question. Someone who will get dirty, and who is rather a good sort of chap at schoolwork. Someone who gets frustrated easily with people or problems, but then tries and tries to work it out, I think. If you're on Jill's good side, then you're right as rain, but if you're on her bad side, watch out! Someone who can deliver a commanding verbal barrage.
The actress who plays Jill should share these characteristics.

Of course he would do anything for Lucy she's one of the high Queens and very well respected. I'm told by my guy friends that they love my voice. I'm in no romance with them. No Lucy/Tirian! That's like Suspian all over again.
1. Lucy won't come in till the end of the movie and would be too late by then to build actual chemistry between the characters.
2. If you even read the last part in the book Lucy was with Tumnus. I'd rather them over anyone else.
Jill/Tirian can very easily work out and if not I don't want any romance period between these characters.
HighQueenofNarnia: I love your description of Jill except the age, Will is going to be eighteen or nineteen when or if SC is going to film.

Jill+Tirian! Let there be Jilrian!
I just saw a whole bunch of posts advocating one of three relationships: Jill/Tirian, Lucy/Tirian, or no romance between any characters at all. Please allow me to give my thoughts on each.
Jill/Tirian: Well, I'm not exactly sure how this would work, because in my mind, Tirian is at least thirty or so, and Jill is about seventeen or maybe sixteen, although she might be older in the movie. So, unless you get really old-fashioned, a romance between them isn't really likely because, quite frankly, he's too old for her. As well, a film version of The Last Battle is going to be hard enough without including a romance. I like to think of Tirian as Jill's sort of long lost brother, if you know what I mean. And I know that I entirely disapprove of any and all Eustace/Jill. I know that it is a perfect opportunity for a romance, but Jill and Eustace are extremely good friends, and they're not dating! Anyway, back to Tirian/Jill. I think that it would detract from the movie and cause fans to be disappointed. If you read CoN for romance, then I suppose you can find it if you wish, but I prefer to confine any romance to what is explicitly in the books.
Lucy/Tirian: Interesting idea, but Lucy enters far too late, as someone else pointed out, to have any sort of unestablished, unprecedented relationship with anyone at all. Lucy, I think, would be old enough, however. I would like to keep romance confined, and I would be severely disappointed if there was any in LB film versions. I think that Lucy/Tirian is rather... weird, honestly, because Lucy is such a cornerstone character in the books and I never imagined her as someone who has random romances with people.
I read somewhere else that Tumnus/Lucy is a strong possibility. *I am not to be held liable for the next few comments* WHAT ON ASLAN'S MANE ARE YOU THINKING??!! Lucy is, after all, only seven (in the books) or so when she meets Tumnus, who is about twenty-five or thirty or so. Now, even when Lucy's about eighteen, that makes Tumnus almost forty. And, I don't see why people are trying to pair up these characters, (well, unless it's RD/Caspian or Aravis/Cor) because for the most part Narnia is about friendships. NO WAY, PEOPLE! *regains control of herself*
No extra romances: I find myself in this group. I would love it if Jill and Tirian and/or Lucy and Tirian and/or anyone else developed strong friendships. But romances, I think, are slightly off the target. I like to think that Narnia proves that boys and girls can have relationships not even tinted with romance.
@DamselJillPole: Thank you! I didn't know how old Will P. was, so I sort of guessed. If Eustace is supposed to be fifteen, say, (which is REALLY old) in SC, but is played by Will P., who, you say, will be about eighteen, then the actress playing Jill should be at least fourteen, wouldn't you say? Although Jill is about eleven or twelve or thirteen in SC, they'll need an older actress so that the age, height, maturity, etc. discrepancies aren't too huge.

Okie dokie... I'm beginning to notice that several posts as of late are no longer discussion what Jill should look like in the movie or who should play her (which is what this thread is for!!!), but rather fan-fictional romances between Jill and some other male in the series.
So if we could please drop the shipping discussions and get back on topic, then we mods and admins can put away our barf-bags and get back to doing other things. Thanks!
A lot of you mentioned the blue eyes on Jill, I don't know, I just don't see Jill with blue eyes. I always imagined her with green or hazel eyes. The thing is, I've never seen blue eyes that I really like. To me, they all seem sort of bleached out (no offense meant ), but that's just me (plus, I haven't seen a lot of girls with pure blue eyes, but with greyish-blueish eyes). I just think that hazel or green eyes would fit more her livelier personality
(Will) "I am Prince Caspian..." (Ben) "No you aren't, get off."
I have to agree with you there Wind_Eagle!
We've seen blue eyes already on Will Poulter, Anna and Georgie. I forgot if Peter had blue eyes. I'd much prefer if Jill had hazel eyes rather then green, but I guess green is okay but hazel would be better because a goldish color will come off, especially in sunlight. Hazel eyes are awesome!

HighQueenofNarnia, I love your description of Jill! That's almost exactly what I was thinking! Well, there are a few things that I would change... Like the ages. I think she should be a bit older, 14-15 maybe. And her eyes shouldn't be pure blue like others mentioned. I like the idea of green/blue eyes, or gray/blue or something of that sort. I still like the idea of eye color that changes depending on what she wears, the climate, etc. Like, gray, to blue, to green, hazel, things like that. Also for the hair, I was thinking a little bit darker brown. Not dark, dark brown, but a medium, in the middle color. And maybe her hair should start rather short in the beginning of the movie, then sort of grow out and get lighter as she is in the sun a lot more, and gets more mature and older as the movie progresses. This movie is over a period of time, because the characters are travelling from country to country. Does everyone see what I'm getting at here?
I Like: Your mischevious smile, your rather weird hair, your perverse mind, our occasional annoying conversations, the funny random noises you make, the burning touch of your fingetips on my skin, how you know most of the things on my mind...
It's good to think of these aspects - I think she will change a bit in her looks, but probably not so much - it is only a few weeks they will be travelling, rather than several months (some girls' hair does grow fast I know). Probably a bit like in LWW where we saw various changes in how they coped, and how they presented themselves.
There, shining in the sunrise, larger than they had seen him before, shaking his mane (for it had apparently grown again) stood Aslan himself.
"...when a willing victim who had committed no treachery was killed in a traitor's stead, the Table would crack and Death itself would start working backwards."
By different aspects of change in her face at first she should have one of those innocent looks as if you were at school and was called ugly names in all your classes, She should have a tearful look her eyes (Another thing with eyes i hope hers is droopy), then in the middle parts she should have on and off looks of being anxious and it will look as if she was screaming in her head, the last looks should be suspicious and confident as if she's about to go into military training.
Yes I feel as if droopy hazel eyes will be good, because in the end they can look very fierce. And that's also going to help with Last battle because I imagine Jill as fierce, impulsive and brave. Hazel eyes will most definitely bring that out.

I think she should have brown eyes, period. Please, no more blue-eyes, we've had so many already (as someone already pointed out). And I think she should have really dirty blond hair-almost brown, just because Lucy and Susan already have brown hair, and I'm ready for something a little different, and I think Jill would look very nice as a dirty blond.
I also think she should have a little bounce/curl to her hair, not much, just a little hint, and it needs to look natural!
As far as personality, I don't think she should be tough-as-nails right off the bat. At the beginning of SC she is crying because of the bullies - that doesn't sound like a tough girl to me... I think she needs to learn to be adventurous over time, slowly transforming from a typical schoolgirl to a Narnian hero.
av / sig by me, PM if you want one
saw the movie opening weekend and cried at the end!
Jesus DIED for ME and YOU!
We have had too many brown eyes too
I say her eyes should be hazel. It fits her personality more. I can agree with her hair being a little different but in this case since Scrubb had blonde hair it'll look natural if Jill had at least light brown close to blonde but not a dirty blonde, we don't want Jill and Eustace to pass off as another sibling pair in the trailer.
Yes her hair must have some curls or at least look a bit wavy.
And yes yes! She must not look or appear to be tough in the beginning. I know she is cries when we first see her in the book but the actress portraying her should portray Jill as jumble, lonliness without a friend in the world. and show these expressions in her face before she cracks that when Eustace comes along she can look surprised and the audience will fully understand her a lot.
