Will's not 18/19 yet, and I think they'll be filming a bit sooner than that.
Whoever is cast as Jill, she will need to look no older than Anna did in LWW - younger teen. Remember this story is about two children, constantly referred to as children in the book. Having them look over 16 will not help. If Will can keep this young look he can make more 'youth' level films in the next few years - and I hope he will.

There, shining in the sunrise, larger than they had seen him before, shaking his mane (for it had apparently grown again) stood Aslan himself.

Will turns 18 in January. And they still need to announce the movie for SC however much VDT grosses and how much older Will actually appears. We don't even know how long pre-production will last on SC and it could last a few months to year and Will would be 19. So depending on how older he looks in my opinion I want an actress the same age by his side. The books ages have not been followed yet so they don't have to follow them being little kids :)

Caspian (real age 13, age of actor 26)
Eustace (real age 8, age of actor 16)
Susan (real age 12, age of actor 15)

Just my opinion

I think that does not matter on age but she should looks young. I think she could be tall (she could be only slightly smaller than Will). :)

To me I agree with Damsel. It really depends on Will Poulters looks once he turns 18 in january. Guys grow and look older at last minute and girls grow to look more maturely faster then boys. It's undecided for me right now since I do want an unknown for Jill. No one we know already in the buisness would be perfect.

well, the casting directors might want someone over 18 so that they don't have to pay for that person's education (face it, that can get expensive, and I'm sure they'd rather save the money and just hire a girl 1 or 2 years older). But it really depends on how old she looks, like Will is 17, but he doesn't really look that old.

I wouldn't mind a little bit of Eustace / Jill in LB, they're older and stuff (but not that much), and maybe a tad at the end of SC, but nothing more.

No way! No Eustill. :((

But I agree with getting some one older or Will's exact age ;)

Yeah me and Damsel are more over Tirian/ Jill shippers, but they are only our opinions. ;)

I would only love to see Jill and Eustace play out as if they look at each other as brother and sister, like Leslie and Jesse from Bridge to Terabithia. They should stay as friends.

Daughter_of_Ramandu, I agree about the Eustace/Jill relationship. Now what I would really like would be just a teeny bit of edmund/jill in LB; nothing major, like randomly going up to the other and kissing them /:) but a subtle shy romance.

I saw the movie....and was disappointed

Jill/Tirian I find can work. Edmund won't be shown a lot and by the time Jill and Tirian meet is exactly when the story takes off, when a story takes off so does a romance.

Tirian: Will you come with me?
Jill: Of course. It's you we've come to help

(The illustration showing Tirian reaching out for Jill's hand is cute and you can tell Eustace is struggling, "Nope I'm alright don't worry about me.") =))

Tirian asks if Jill had skill with a bow, Jill blushes.
An archery practice between them might be shown in the movie.

Tirian also compliments her and grows fond of her bravery.

Tirian ignores to explain about Tash first seeing him to the others by slipping his arm around Jill asking if she was okay.

Things like this from the book could be worked out on screen to make it seem romantic since they did spend lots of time together. I was told in the past that Tirian was only being chivalrous to Jill, but too much chivalry is an act of love as well. ;)

I think that a little romance between Tirian and Jill would be cute. But if you think about it, in the books, Tirian is in his mid-twenties, and Jill is 9. I know that this won't be so in the movies, but it's a bit of a gap in between the two ages either way.
Actually, it probably wouldn't be best if they fell in love with each other. We had enough of that in PC with Caspian and Susan. I think Eustace and Jill flirting a little in LB might work as well. In the SC they are just friends. It is in LB they are older, more mature, and more likely to be more than friends since they have known each other. I don't know... Just my opinion.

I Like: Your mischevious smile, your rather weird hair, your perverse mind, our occasional annoying conversations, the funny random noises you make, the burning touch of your fingetips on my skin, how you know most of the things on my mind...

By the time Jill meets Tirian, she is about 16. Not so unbearable, but in LB it's not what is going on - the story is about the end of Narnia, the very serious events involving good vs evil and truth vs lies. I don't want to see a teenage romance inserted into it.

Spoiler
The subject matter of this book is so close to the "End Times" of the Bible, and a good part of the story takes place "after death" in Aslan's country (heaven) - the Bible clearly teaches that "marrying and giving in marriage" are no longer happening in heaven.

I'm sorry for you teenage girls who want a love story in everything, but it is NOT going to happen in this one; but cheer up, you have hundreds of other films and stories to enjoy it in.

The only person who was ever the right age was georgie in lww, i don't think they care about age much in these narnia films. I don't want a love story in sc or the lb. VDT there will be because of rd and caspian.

I have to agree with you here. They mentioned something in LWW about being a bad idea of getting younger kids for a movie that films for 6-8 months. Romance simply can't be helped to be placed in movies for this generation. (Everyone seems to like it 8-| ) I think it's the medias fault for making Hollywood lustful.

I just find that if LB ever gets here I always dreamed for Tirian and Jill to have something for each other, but I hope it's small, though not small as Suspian was or else it'll look fake and cliche.

Coracle: If Eustace is aged up from 9-15 then Jill will be that age too. Then there's that five- seven year gap before they go back during LB. Jill and Eustace will be Tirian's age or maybe he'll be a few years older. I'm not too big on romance unless it's good and it can go somewhere. besides most of the time is based in Narnia before

What you were saying about the lies and everything that can be a great storyline to put between them although they are the prophets from their own world I'm sure Tirian can trust Jill and somehow fall for her. I wonder if I can make up a forum of fan scripts for Narnia? :D ;)

JillPoleWannabe: That is a very long years gap to go on as friends. If Jill and Eustace wanted to be together then they would have done so before LB.

No, I don't want a Jill/Tirian thing, no way! He was just being kind to her when Tash came, and I'm a girl and I blush whenever someone compliments me, so its normal if Jill does it.

I still want a Jill/Eustace thing in LB though, not in Aslan's Country, but in Narnia during the battle and stuff (nothing big, just little hints here and there--I mean, Jill does cry when Eustace is thrown into the stable).

Damsel, there is a tension between actor age and movie character age, but we still need to have the last films accessible to children. If they filmed LB with Eustace and Jill aged in their early 20s, not many parents would be taking their under-tens to it.
If they are depicted as mid-late teens, in their last year of high school, they could still be played by actors over 20 (like Ben as Caspian). Just being in school (i.e. under 18) is a contact point for younger audience members.

Spoiler
As for heaven, it's not so much that your relationships are no longer valid, but that they are no longer as important. I couldn't imagine not being able to know my parents, for example, but as a single person I would not be looking for a husband there!
