...old friend of narniaweb from thebegining, returned, it's been so long i guess my membership dried up he he...anyways new/old friends. After this cameo the WW in Voyage (island of nightmares scene), if movies continue God willing, will we get mag nephew or just last battle after this, the end... and of course the age old discusion, is she the lady in the green kirttle, i know lot of people hate that idea, but i always felt she was absorbed with narnia kinda, she was there from the begining, an not until narnia ends will she maybe ???...

...tis better to be a witty fool, then to have a foolish wit

Welcome back jester5150 glad your back!
I definaltly hope that we will get SC after VDT, not skip right away to MN or LB. That would ruin everything.
I don't think that Jadis is the Lady of the Green Kirttle. I mean she is supposed to be dead. If you see in PC she didn't come back but was called up from the dead. And why keep defeating her? I think it is completly illogical.

Yeah I agree with De_De I'd rather have SC before LB, and that LB is the last movie to be made as well in this franchise if it does good.

Also the whole White Witch being LOGK thing all started with the BBC series with the same actress who played WW also played LOGK so in doing that a reprint of the Harper Collins books suggested in a little bio that WW and LOGK were the same yet the characters are two completely different people.

And yes, what would be the point exactly if they keep on defeating a witch who is always trying to be summoned from the dead. That's just it, she is dead. :p Therefore she's not LOGK. ;)

I definatly think that the WW is dead and the LOGK is just her own person, I think it is rather illogical to have the WW also be the LOGK, it would make it rather boring, once you've killed the witch, let her stay dead, it's funner to bring a new one in than to keep having the old one come back.

As far as the films go, I hope this is our last experience with her since the whole "Edmund come be my King" thing seems to be getting old with more than one person I have talked to.
LOGK is her own person, just has the same motives as the WW, selfish all-consuming power.

It sure would be nice if they stopped showing the WW in these movies. After all, besides the LOTGK, she has no attachment to the SC. And if the WW will play the LOTGK, I'll go insane! :-o I think it'd be much cooler to have a different actress take the role. Who needs the WW in every movie to make it interesting?

And even if I'm not very glad for her to be in this movie, I wonder if the LOTGK created the Dark Island. Man, I'm really confused about this... :-

I also think that the LOTGK should be played by a diffrent actress. I mean she is a completly diffrent character.

She definitely will be. You can find me expounding on this theme all over Narniaweb! ;)

There, shining in the sunrise, larger than they had seen him before, shaking his mane (for it had apparently grown again) stood Aslan himself.

in answer to the question posed in the title of this thread: no. I think we will see her again! and I personally don't mind. *ducks to avoid the rotten tomatoes being thrown by the Narnia book purists*

I don't mind if we see Jadis in VODT, but we did just see her in PC and i'm wondering if they're gunna try to put her in every movie, which wouldn't be good

I'm sick of seeing Jadis wedged into the movies whether she fits or not. It's like in comic books where they keep killing the supervillain off and then bringing him back ten issues later in the most implausible way imaginable. Just let her die already.

I agree! My brother thinks that maybe they really like the actress or something. Because there is a possibilty that they are going to make MN after VDT. Why would they make that movie next, unless they wanted Jadis there?

I think that Walden Media looks too much upon the success of other successful fantasy film franchises. I think they look at Harry Potter, and see that throughout the 7 books, and 8 movies, and see how the characters are constantly being persecuted and persued by Voldemort. Unfortunately, I think that the film makers think that the White Witch should be modeled after these sort of characters. I always felt that the White Witch, no matter what, was always a part of Narnia, up until the very end. I do not, however, feel that she should have an appearance in every movie.

I've often wondered if I would rather them make the Magician's Nephew, or the Horse and His Boy after the Silver Chair. I think it would be cool to save HHB until right before LB so that we have the Calormenes as the villains twice in a row (to have some semi-continuity for audience members who haven't read the books). I would also be afraid that if they waited to long to make the Magician's Nephew, we would lose Jim Broadbent if they wanted him to appear at the end of the movie, having the magical tree turned into the wardrobe.

i think that they might make mn next, not because of jadis, but because they have to keep the audiance, mn would probably draw more viewers than hhb. its more exciting
