Josh, I too, am a big fan of movie Peter. I'm surprised more people don't identify with him. In the books, he comes across as the "hail fellow, well met" but in the movies, there is much more depth to him. In movie PC, he hasn't lost his faith in Aslan but he has lost his trust in that faith. And I agree with you that his actions in the movie reflect his love for Narnia and his feeling of responsibility for what has happened to Narnia in his absence. It's clear after the debacle of the Night Raid that Peter is regaining his footing and when he tells Lucy "You're lucky, you know, to have seen him", we realize that Peter's problem all along is that he couldn't bring himself to trust Aslan without actually seeing him again. Perhaps this is why Aslan knew Peter needed to return to Narnia one more time--Peter needed to learn the lesson of blind faith. And he certainly shows that he has learned that lesson when he is willing to lay down his life in order to save Narnia by dueling Miraz. He does it "for Aslan and for Narnia" and he is confident that whatever the outcome is, if Aslan is in control, everything will be just fine. What a High King!!! Aslan sure made the right choice there!
Nothing anyone does gives me the right to be unkind.
Exactly. Peter in fact was used to get the film's spiritual message across. And he wasnt bad, just flawed. And thats not a bad thing, because book Peter wasnt even human.
What surprises me is why people don't get mad at Caspian. His character made much more mistakes then Peter and didnt get all of the backlash. He attacked Peter, insulted the ages of the Pevensies, ruined the Night Raid on two occassions (both being for selfish purposes), and HE was the one that started giving the White Witch his blood. Why is everyone mad at Peter for listening to the Witch? I'm sure in a time of desperation you would consider it. I know the Witch is evil and Peter shouldnt take her help, but its not the ultimate evil for him to consider the idea. In desperate times people don't think perfectly.
Why don't people get mad at Caspian for, not only letting the hag and werewolf get into Aslan's How, but also for letting them use sorcery, and then once the Witch appears for him to be reaching out to her.
Anyway, both Caspian and Peter make up for their mistakes at the end of the movie. But I take Peter's side in the conflict.

Oh it was so tough!!!! Lucy or Edmund? I finally decided after much debating and arguing and stress and tears(ok i'm just kidding but seriously it was hard!) I picked Edmund because his faith didn't come easily to him like it did for Lucy; he had to go through the trials and suffer consequences and I think he really grew through the whole thing. He also has a fascination with railways and likes to play cricket so that pretty strongly influneced me
I saw the movie....and was disappointed
I voted Lucy, but my favorites are all of them.

My favourite characters (books and movies) are Peter and Susan, but of these I pick Susan.
I really like ForeverFan and lover's thoughts on her. I feel she is a more flawed character than the other's though that is debatable and being a girl I relate to her more. I also am the oldest sibling and that is perhaps another reason I like the older siblings. In the movies I really like how their characters are portrayed, though that actually goes for all of them. I also like Susan's gentle character from book LWW, it is something we all can learn from. It is sad in LB that she stops believing in Narnia but this only adds a greater element of realism to her character and makes her more believable. Oh, I could say so much more but it's hard to put all my thoughts into words so I'll just leave it there.
Also I love Ed in PC. He is hilarious.

I voted Edmund because I can related to him the most. He is practical, logical, and strong; and his character changed hugely during LWW.

Lucy's my favorite, and Peter's a close second, then probably Edmund, and finally Susan. I like Lucy, because she's kind, brave, and adventurous.

I picked Susan. I guess I have always been able to relate to to her the most.

Edmund, hands down. I have many characteristics that I enjoy about the Pevensies, but I like Edmund the most because he is an example of how we can change, and plus he's so funny to read!

I saw the film on Opening Day!

With the books it'd be Edmund who has the best story going through the process of redemption.
Sure that process is in the movie,
but when I saw LWW he didn't strike me as a favorite. Rather Susan and Peter did. not sure why. Something about these two connected with me more and I instantly loved them- I voted for Peter since I like him a bit more.
PC however lessens my love for Lucy, while raising it for Edmund.
Although Peter's character was changed from the book, I thought it gave for rather an interesting character for him, also needing to go through a process of getting deeper roots for his faith, which had been dwindling.
I know most dislike Peter/PC movie, but I am a fan of it. Even though I'd have liked something more faithful to the book.
Peter's pretty much always been my favorite, and I don't really know why. Surprisingly, seeing his movie character in PC made me like him more, even though I was upset that they changed it so much. I think I was more upset that they changed it just because it wasn't faithful--not so much that it didn't work in the movie, because it did work IMO.
Edmund is my favorite Pevensie I think he's the one everyone can relate to.

"Why? Do I look older?"
wow, Edmund is still winning in this poll! cool! go Edmund!
