In the movie Caspian does go to the worlds end, so it would not need to happen
Aslan's Country isn't the world's end.
Well, in the book he has a tantrum about not being able to go on with the Pevensies, but in the movie he does go with them and meets Aslan at the worlds end. Seriously you think he is going to have a tantrum in front of Aslan if he tells him he can't go to Aslan's Country.
I hope not, that's why I posted. I think with the character age changes and the obvious age of the actor, it would be silly to have the tantrum. They could have him express displeasure at not being able to go with Reep, but hopefully it will be low-key and not the subject of Caspian's dramatic character arc.
Personally, I think sixteen is too old to have a tantrum like that.

Maybe he has to overcome bitterness toward Miraz
I was wondering if Miraz is going to appear to Caspian like the WW is to Edmund, that would be weird though that would prove that the DI isn't controlled by the WW, but that she is just a nightmare from it.
^^hmm interesting point, AslanIsOnTheMove. Probably he still hasn't recovered from the fact that his uncle killed his father(and possibly his mother as well). That would make anyone have nightmares.
I saw the movie....and was disappointed
or, maybe it's WW too.....
remember in PC when he almost fell for WW? he let his guard down to the hag and the werewolf and then almost fell for WW......

If they were going to put a bigger thing on temptation why don't they keep Caspian's line telling everyone to pick another king because he decided to travel to the end of the world. Also, this would tie in with SC.
Personally, I think sixteen is too old to have a tantrum like that.

Long Live King Caspian & Queen Liliandil Forever!
Jill+Tirian! Let there be Jilrian!
^ Eww. I like the Miraz thing better. Hopefully he's not still hung up on Susan. But perhaps if he realizes that what he has in Lilliandil is worlds better than anything he could've ever had with Susan it could come off as something really sweet, if it's done really carefully.
Maybe it's losing Susan and losing his parents along with bitterness toward Miraz. Maybe it's everything combined. Really who could blame him? I think Caspian's had a hard enough life that if he were real he would probably need counseling
No more romance please, Suspian should not even be mentioned much less making it part of the plot.
Who says Caspian has to be tempted?
I don't think it will be to do with Susan or Ramandu's daughter. I am sure it is more to do with his character development as he grows up - still in early 20s, still not very old! (sorry to those of you in your early 20s )
As for any idea that he is pining for a girl he met 3 years earlier in a dramatic time that gave him back the throne, this young man has moved on and accepted reality.
As a children's film, this movie will have more to do with his selfishness, wish for power without responsibility, greed, etc - we all have these in some degree, and this will be very interesting to see played out - to reflect our own temptations and challenges.
There, shining in the sunrise, larger than they had seen him before, shaking his mane (for it had apparently grown again) stood Aslan himself.
"...when a willing victim who had committed no treachery was killed in a traitor's stead, the Table would crack and Death itself would start working backwards."
Who says Caspian has to be tempted?
Just an assumption based on various synopses which state that all the characters will be tested in some way and the imfamous line in the trailer. *makes her voice deep and foreboding* "You are all about to be tested." Also Coriaken's lovely little chat with them about temptation.
My thought is
A: Caspian has some great struggle or tempation he has to overcome.
or
B: Caspian has no great struggle in this film and therefore takes the backseat to those who do, thus making him the way Edmund was in the PC movie with very few lines.
Maybe its a superiority issue with being King, leading to some conflicts with Edmund. His arc would end then with him finnally obeying Aslan, the real authority, to return to Narnia and not go into Aslan's Country.
