Ok, so we know that tempation is a huge theme in the movie. From what I gather, Lucy's temptation is vanity, Edmund's is power, Eustace's is greed and selfishness. What is Caspian's?
In the book there was that part at Deathwater. There was also that bit about wanting to go to Aslan's Country. I don't think that will be as big a deal in the movie since he's apperently there when they meet Aslan.
I just wonder what they will use. Will they expand the greed that was seen on Deathwater Island, even though greed is a temptation that is already explored by Eustace's character? Will they make up something? What do you guys think?
P.S. If this question has already been answered elsewhere and I missed it please let me know
Going by what happens in the book, maybe power? At Deathwater, he did go into a whole "I'M THE KING!" thing. Even though that seemed to be due to the influence of a spell, I could see how they might develop that into his temptation. It makes about as much sense as taking a paragraph and turning it into a Lucy's Thinks She's Ugly subplot.
Thats a good question, but I have no idea. They might explore greed or power but they are doing it with other characters. Or maybe its lust?? He realizes that his "love" for Susan was not love but based only on looks??
I don't really know. They might just invent something.

I hope they don't turn Caspian into a jerk, like they did Peter in PC.
I think Deathwater is going to be his temptation.....but I don't know if maybe they will add to it? hmmm.....

I would say power too. I think Edmund and Caspian will both have problems with power if it is like the book.
There are no clouds in the sky. There is only the open sun and the Lord watches.
Caspian if you think about it was sort of a jerk, shallow, and wanted to have power in the book during a few moments. I'm afraid that his temptation is still set on his lustful attraction towards Susan just so the Suspian fans can get what they want without seeing his only love for Lilliandil. I say if Suspian is the only thing Narnia fans care about instead of anything else that goes on in Narnia I say who cares about them. No offense but these Narnia stories are not supposed to be love triangles like Twilight. The whole "don't worry Susan I've got you!", having Susan's horn on display (I'm hoping he'll have all the Pevensie gifts on display like the Cair Paravel Chamber in PC of the Pevensie's)
I just don't think if they refernce Caspian's temptations back to Suspian is a good way for continuity's sake. If Suspian's know for a given truth that Suspian was only a small thing and is never coming back and they will not support any other Narnia movie because of it then i'm sorry they just need to let it go, because Suspian's only care to see Caspian and Susan together and that's it. Most of them don't like Narnia or appreciate it on what it is or the different types of love CS Lewis was trying to talk about. All they care about is romance.
Not Suspian!

Maybe his temptation struggle will be trying to resist killing Edmund for flirting with his girl

Haha, I'm sure that will be it Josh!

I don't know what I would like them to do. It seems like they are taking everyone's struggles too far, especially Lucy's. She was jealous of Susan for one moment of the book and now it seems like its being blown up. They have some great ideas, but often they end up taking things too far. So even if they have a good idea for what Caspian's temptation should be, i'm afraid they would expand on it too much.

I think they might play out the part where he wants to go to AC. Maybe he leaves with the pevensies, after which Aslan sends him back?
I hope going to Aslan's Country isn't his temptation. I think the way he handled the longing in the book was very childish and bratty but not the longing itself. I mean who can blame the guy for wanting to go to the world's end and see what lies beyond? Who can blame him for wanting to see if Aslan's Country really was at the edge of the world? I understand he has duties to Narnia but I don't want it to look in any way like going to Aslan's Country is on the same level as turkish delight if ya know what I mean.
In the book I felt Caspian's desire was the same as Reepicheep's. The only difference being Caspian was king of Narnia and therefore had responsibilities which he would be abandoning. With Reep, the longing was noble, yet with Caspian, that same desire was irresponsible and selfish... I kinda felt sorry for him even though he was being a brat in that part of the book.
I wonder if that's the temptation. Maybe irresponsiblity and selfish? Man I would hate that.
With the other temptations it seems they will be subplots that run all throughout the film, or at least a good deal of it. So I just wonder what they could do with Caspian that would run troughout the film... And please, no more power struggles with the kings of old. It's been done.
I think that he will be tempted at Goldwater and he will be tempted to become the riches Narnian king. I mean it only makes since, what else could it be???? I dont think it wil be Aslans Country Oh and LOL Josh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't think I can handle any more jerks...especially two in one movie
"Are you sure you're eighteen?"
"Why? Do I look older?"
I'm hoping they cut the temper tantrum over not being able to go to Aslan's Country. The more I think about, the less I think it would work. If they were playing the character as 16 like in the book, sure, but Ben is in his 20s. It wouldn't be believable and would just lessen the character.
