I think people would be less worried if Eustace was there and said,''NO!'' too. I don't really like the fact they did this, but I try think of it in a positive view.
Eustace is a dragon so it would be really weird if he said no too

My wishes for Narnia Dawn Treader: there's no romantic scenes between Edmund & girl. No kissing scenes or something like that...
So what do you think? Should Ed have a romantic scene? Will he? [I'm kinda hoping he'll hug Lucy again, like in LWW, but this time kiss on the forehead or something. As if that will happen... ]
Hugging your sister does not fall under the category of romance.
And no he should not have a romance scene, besides who would it be with?
The Chronicles are not romance stories.
If want romance watch something else
@aragorn2: Yes, I know, hugging your sister isn't romantic. But I'd rather have that as Edmund + Lilliandil. I don't want Ed / Lilliandil ... ever. I totally agree with those who don't want such a love triangle. Let's just hope the producers don't have that. But we don't know what will happen, do we?
If Ed kisses anyone in this movie (and he probably won't), it had better be Lu or Gael on the forehead!
They could have Edmund kiss a mermaid or a Naiad if they NEED a romance for him.
Winter Is Coming
Yeah that is what I was thinking Josh. All in all I laughed at it in the trailer. It seems Edmund is said to playing 13 in this movie and Caspian is what? 20..21? And Lilliandil looks 19. I don't think it will go any further then that was shown in the trailer.

As if the filmakers arent paying attention to the ages.
Edmund looks about 17 in the movie. Lilliandil does look nineteen and Caspian looks like he's in his 20s. I could see Caspian getting annoyed that a little kid (in comparison to his age) is flirting with his girl.
Winter Is Coming
Edmund is still a school boy, he may look 17 and the actor might have been that age while filming. 13 is his approximate age for the film. I don't think Lilliandil will want to flirt back with a little kid no matter how old he looks. That was Adamson's excuse with Susan in PC, but i won't go into that.

I just hope they don't use Lilliandil as fuel for any arguments Edmund and Caspian might have. They only had one argument in the book -- and that was because they were enchanted by the Goldwater. But looking back at some of the other things the filmmakers have done, they will probably use that one part, and blow it up more so they disagree a lot in the movie. And them both liking Lilliandil would definitely fuel that, if the director so chose.

That is exactly what I'm really hoping does NOT happen!! My one big pet peeve. In PC, Caspian really ignored Lucy and Edmund, and just payed attention to Peter and (obviously) Susan. But now they're gone, so I'm hoping he doesn't keep treating the first two as little kids.
And frankly, it's my opinion that they won't pull in the "Caspian + Lilliandil and - Edmund?" theme too much. But I wouldn't know.

yes. Instead of fighting over gold Deathwater, they might fight over RD. (Well, that depends whether the meet RD before or after Deathwater, but they could always insert it somewhere else.)

They go to Deathwater before RI, and there is a picture of the quarrel between Ed and Caspian there.
^ They could still quarrel some more about RD later on.
Oh gosh, I hope that doesn't happen.

I'm not too worried about this...or so I tell myself I don't think there will be an actual love triangle between Caspian/RD/Edmund, and I don't think it'll extend any further than that silly "NO!" line. Surely they've learned from their mistake with Suspian in PC and won't add any silly romances for the other characters, but if they do...I will throw my bag of popcorn at the screen and write angry letters However, I'm trying to remain optimistic for now, so I believe there won't be a love triangle, and that scene was just two guys reacting to a pretty girl...which makes them a bit shallow, but it's something I can probably get over (whereas I'm still not over the Suspian and I cannot watch the scenes with them in PC to this day).
