I hadn't considered Edmund in the triangle, and I don't think there will be one. I think they just wanted a funny, awkward moment.
But I would gladly sell every other big change in this film for a love triangle between them.

Maybe this is what Caspian and Edmund have their sword fight over.
I don't think they are really making a love triangle. Everyone knows she was really beautiful. It's like when Digory thoought the WW was beautiful, he wasn't in love with her.
well, in the book it does say that when all of the travelers looked at Lilliandil they had never known before what beauty meant.....

I know this is kind of random and very unlikely to happen, but what if Caspian fell in love with Lucy??? Again random and very unlikely...and a little weird to think about.
"Are you sure you're eighteen?"
"Why? Do I look older?"
Well,narnialover4, in the dreaded leaked script Lucy loved Caspian. But I think it very unlikely that they would have Caspian like her back. What I really wonder is why Eustace didn't say anything. If Eustace was there supposing he was not still his dragon form I think they would have made him say something.
As annoying as their adding a really dumb scene for dumb humor is, I am really not that worried about it. there are many other worse parts they are adding to the movie
While I was watching the trailer I thought Edmund,'' Don't do it, Don't say, No.'' But he say it anyway. But if I had to pick which change was worse the ''unfathomable fate'' or this , I would say the ''unfathomable fate.''
I'm not worried about it too much...probably just for a laugh! That would be so awkward in my opinion!

^ Honestly it's just a trailer in my opinion, it can be edited differently, we don't know what is really going on in this scene except Caspian is falling for Lilliandil and the crew is looking at her as being beautiful. It's personally just a line to prove verbally on what CS Lewis wrote. Seriously it's no big deal!

It didn't seem like it would be too serious -- but it could be made into something serious quite easily. We'll have to wait until we see the movie -- or at least more footage -- before we can really know for sure.
I have a feeling it was just meant to be some kind of cheap joke. Which I don't really like either. I think the Narnia movies have had too many cheap jokes.

I was just a little queasy over the whole "No" reaction from Ed and Caspian. I don't like it and this talk about Lucy is scaring me more.

well, I really don't like the Caspian Edmund "No!" line, but it could be worse.....

um, just because Edmund thinks Lilliandil is beautiful (I'm assuming that, from what we see in the trailer) DOESN'T MEAN he's in love with her, is Caspian's "rivial" or anything at all. I see guys and I may think "he's goodlooking" without wanting to marry him or whatever. Of course he thinks she's beautiful! Do you really think he wouldn't?
