I’m late on here, but I joined Narniaweb 5 years ago on December 7th. Before then, I used to browse on Narniaweb to catch up on any news regarding Narnia and the films. Then I decided to make an account and join the forum. I’m glad I did, because even though I haven’t met anyone here in person (though I’d like to at some point), I enjoy reading members’ different perspectives on Narnia, the books, films, and other topics. I never regretted joining Narniaweb and I’ll probably still be coming back here in the years to come.

I think that this was my first post back in 2019 so I have been posting here for almost seven years:
https://community.narniaweb.com/community/the-spare-oom/getting-to-know-you-2/paged/26/#post-310830
It hardly seems so long ago. I have enjoyed interacting with other Narniawebbers and agreeing and sometimes disagreeing with their views.
I have had some health issues, but now I am in pretty good shape for my age and I plan to be around for some time.
I remember looking for a new forum after The Stone Table website closed, and I found this one. Into the Wardrobe and Dr. Zeus’s had closed their forums a couple of years before that. So I had found this website, and I plan to stay. 🙂
@narnian78 goodness, I didn't realise you'd joined 'only' 7 years ago! I thought you were a long-term member.
Maybe it's the level-headed posts you write? Anyway, Conga rats on your anniversary!🥳
There, shining in the sunrise, larger than they had seen him before, shaking his mane (for it had apparently grown again) stood Aslan himself.

Thank you for the compliments. It isn’t quite seven years ago that I joined. It is more like 6 3/4 since the first post was on Feb. 20, 2019. It isn’t actually my anniversary, although it is rather close to it. The exact date I became a member Feb 18, 2019, is in my profile, I find it hard to stay away from this place on the web for long because the discussion is so interesting. 🙂
I am mighty tardy in this, but congratulations on your seven year NWeb anniversary in mid-December, @Narnian78.
It definitely seems as if you have been active here longer than that.
I always seem to miss my anniversary here, haha. 2026 is flying by!
On February 6th (which is the same date as @fantasia - she usually misses it too, lol) I hit 19 years as johobbit on NarniaWeb. Prior to that, I had another account for a couple of years, but rarely used it. So, I guess I have really been here for more like 21 years, but only active for 19. This place is like a second home, and I am very grateful for finding it back near the beginning of 2007, especially when I am not a big online/screen person.
A very hearty happy 22nd NWeb Anniversary to you, fantasia!
Who would have guessed we would still be around here after all these years?!

Happy anniversary @jo & @fantasia!
I think it's really wonderful how these forums really have become a real community of people with a similar love and appreciation of Narnia, Lewis etc., and many members being on here 20 years+!
@narnian78, your mention of the Into the Wardrobe forums reminds me, of how I started on them way back in 1996, as a 12 year old - I was on them until the year I got married, when later that same year, they closed. I signed up to NarniaWeb the year it commenced also but barely posted anything for a long time (what was I missing out on!)
Well, I'm glad I've changed that now, because it really is a great community that has been established here.
I'd better stop writing this post before I get too mushy!

I think it was the fall of 2003 when I first started posting on Into the Wardrobe. I used my real name with my last name abbreviated, Larry W. It was a few months after that when I began posting on The Stone Table under the user name Ramandu. I don’t know if there is anyone posting here now who used to be on The Stone Table. There are old messages saved on the Internet Archive for both of those forums if anyone wants to read them. 🙂
Oh! And I've overlooked my anniversary date too. I arrived here on 10th Feb 2004 (11th Feb NZ time).
So I've been here 22 years. I became a mod on 1 March that same year.

Happy 22nd anniversary @coracle!
Yes @narnian78, I recall seeing the name Larry W on Into the Wardrobe. I can't say I recall The Stone Table website nor forum as I do Into the Wardrobe. It would be interesting to see how many other people from both of those forums are here.
