A Narnia Prop Shop!

I recently came across this seller on Etsy who makes Narnia prop replicas! : https://www.etsy.com/shop/NRprops?ref=l2-about-shopname   They've done quite a lot, ranging from Tumnus' house key and Narnian coins to Edmund's sword and Lucy's Cordial/Dagger. The quality is awesome (both from the pictures and the reviews) and the prices are surprisingly low for some of the items (might need me a key for Tumnus' house, ngl). They are based in the Netherlands, so that may pose extra shipping fees for some of us though...

Has anyone bought from them before?

If anyone's wondering, the shop just announced a limited-edition replica of The White Witch's wand with pre-orders available until July 25th!

I might pass on this one just because of price (I'm also not planning to bind any countries in snow and ice anytime soon) but the design looks fabulous if do say so myself. Check it out if you're interested! https://www.nrprops.shop/

Turning people to stone might be handy, though, surely... Giggle

@courtenay The thought had occurred... Grin

Unfortunately looks like the pre-orders are already closed out. Guess some people were really eager to petrify their neighbors.

If you get a chance to visit Logos Theatre in S Carolina, you may see some of their Narnia collection on display.  Not far away is a museum which includes a huge amount of ex-Walden costumes, weapons props etc, plus a costume hiring business. (I don't know how much is currently on display)

Edit: as per my post below, this is still being developed and the museum part isn't yet open. Sorry, but watch for future information!

There, shining in the sunrise, larger than they had seen him before, shaking his mane (for it had apparently grown again) stood Aslan himself.

@coracle I knew about the Logos exhibit but I had no idea there was a full on museum nearby as well! The site looks awesome... you could probably outfit an entire Narnia play with their selection!

@the-mad-poet-himself I don't know how far the museum has developed, but I have seen a lot of the items that will be in it - when it is. I should message the owner, and ask him.
Update: I have sent him a message, and will report back in due course!

Update again: the museum is still under development and not yet open to the public. I misunderstood what I'd been told previously.  My apologies!

@coracle All good! Looks like they're mostly focusing on online sales right now... still, I may find time to drop in there before long. Thanks for the recommendation!

@the-mad-poet-himself hey there! Person who has bought from NR Props here, at your service. I cannot recommend their work more. The main guy behind the shop has such a passion for the films and world of Narnia, and the craftsmanship and research that goes into every replica is really amazing. Right now he's actually working on updating everything to be as screen-accurate as possible, using real leathers and metals instead of just resin. It's really lovely to see all the love for Narnia that goes into his replicas and to know you're supporting someone who does so much labor out of that love and desire to provide quality replicas for fans. I have his latest version of Lucy's cordial and it is stunning in every way. I could easily pass it off as the actual movie prop to people who don't know better (not that I would, but you know, it's that good). There is also a main website (nrprops.shop, looks like you found it!) where you can find things a bit cheaper than on Etsy, which has different prices to account for all the site fees and such. The prices are definitely on the higher end for certain props, but in my experience as an artist and person who has learned way too much about props of late, they're generally fair, considering the work that goes into each piece. Also the communication and customer service is great. Nothing but really good experiences all around for me. There are a lot of things in the shop or forthcoming (including some really fun smaller pieces, like little jewelry and accessories characters have worn, for instance) that I'm willing to save up for over time. It's definitely a worthy investment. There should be a relaunch of the updated Pevensie crowns in the next year or so, which I'm extremely hyped for! I've had so much fun over the last almost year or so watching all the work that goes into these replicas. He's a cool guy! I hope more people find out about him so he can keep doing what he does.
