Probably dark red, these days.

Only if chickens count.  

What's the longest book you've read and enjoyed? 

Hm, I am really not sure... probably a series anthology. 

What's for dinner tonight?

Baked potatoes and chili.

What's your favorite dessert?

Blackberry crumble. Preferably with a lot of brown sugar and chopped up pecans in the crumble topping and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. We had wild blackberries climbing the back yard fence when I was a kid, not an incredible amount of them but when they got ripe about enough for a decent pie.

If you could have any pet in the world with zero adverse consequences, what would be your dream animal companion?

Maybe my dream animal might be a good-tempered, sociable, small, fox terrier style dog, with a smooth coat, short upright tail, and rather sporty looking compared with a poodle or spaniel, whom I'd call Decius, a shortened Latin name to match this shortened style dog.
