Ian got back in and pulled something out of his pocket. "You probably read in the paper, about this neckalce being stolen four years ago. Two 'kids' did it. Well one of them was me. But the punk who was with me, let me take all blame for stealing it and he went home with no price on his back. I've had this thing with my for 4 years Justin...it's plagued me for those fours years." He set it in Justin's palm "I never know how to return it, I want to....but I just don't know how. Help me please?" he said making a pleading face. "I've been running away from all the police since."

Justin let out a sad laugh. "Well, I've had my problems with the police four years ago as well." He looked at the necklace. "Wow, it sure looks ugly. If I were the store, I wouldn't want it back." This made Peter chuckle a little. Finally, Justin saud, "Here's what we do: make a new one to replace that one and see if the store will take it as a peace offering."

"We can't make a new one. This thing is a 4k gold necklace. And, why wouldn't they want it back?" Ian sound urgent and alos desperate. "How due I get the police to stop looking for me..." he said shaking his head in dismay

Justin thought for a minute. "Well, we can give it to the police station and tell them that someone else stole it with you. Give them the person's name, if you can remember it. And tell them you are really sorrry and you just didn't know how to give it back."

"Yeah, I suppose that's best, isn't it. but they'll probably still want to lock my up for awhile" he said was a sad sigh. Ian made a face. "I've lived with it for all these years"

Justin assured him, "Hey, I will visit if that happens."

"Sure Jen, we will" said Nate with a smile, Kevin nodded...

Ian sighed. "I have to go by myself...." He look down cast. "See you in jail I guess" he said taking the necklace from Justin's palm and and getting out.

"Well Nate I'd better get you home, Angie is most likly worried sick about you..." Nate nodded "Come on" he said with a smile then began walking toward his house... Kevin hadn't told Nate that he himself was now working for the FBI because he knew Nate would be upset that his brother was going back into the line of fire...

As he walked home he saw Justin with Pete and this other guy so he walked over... The man with black hair seemed familar... He had seen him... Somewhere, where was it? A briefing? No... A wanted poster on a wall inside the HQ. "Hi"

Justin and Peter exchanged concerned glances. Nate was in the military and Kevin used to be in the military. Now Ian was going to be in trouble. Justin felt a light tug on his shirt. He turned, tehn Peter whispered, "Maybe this would be the right time for him to show them the necklace."
Justin whispered back. "I think so too."

Finally, Peter wake dup to Nate and Kevin. "Hey guys. Meet our new friend."
He felt Justin tug on him a little He let Justin brign him backk to the curb, to hear Justin ask, "What do you think you are doing?"
Peter whispered, "Giving Ian the opportunity to do the right thing."

Ian was looking worriedly at Nate and Kevin. He fingered the necklace in his pocket glancing down at the street every once in a while. He didn't speak out, waiting for Peter to intreduce the others.

He rushed to Nate and Kevin. They were his friends first, not Ian. "Ian, these are also my friends. Nate and Kevin. Nate and I have been friends for a long time and he's really good at football." He looked at Nate. "Speaking of which. I want to try out."

Ian mumbled a quiet hello and shook thier hands then turned to Peter. "I really need to be going now. Thanks for listening to me...but I got to go" he said trying to walk away

Peter gave up on getting Ian to do the right thing. "See yah."

Ian turned and gave a wave walking across the street. Suddenly Brian came rushing down the sidewalk toward Peter. "Peter! Peter!!" he called trying to get his friend's attention
