Peter said, "I don't know. I thought she followed us to the hospital."

The lady at the receptionist desk look up through a pare of reading glasses. "Amanda....let me see" she typed in something on her computer and scrolled down. With a small victory noise she looked back at him. "I'm sorry but right now she is in intensive care. Though her condition wasn't super critical her leg was wounded and needed immediate attention. She should ber in her room though in the nex two hours. Would you like to wait?" she asked pleasantly "Oh, I also need all of your names please" she said retrieving a pen and paper

Peter groaned at the thought of having to wait, causing his cousin to remind him to be patient. Still something he was working on. Justin handed him a sports magazine to read. He told the receptionist his name, tehn accepted the magazine from Justin. He rolled his eyes as he went past the stuff about Tiger Woods. Golf wasn't even a fun sport anyways. Sure, he would go play miniature golf if his friends or family wanted to but he prefered basketball and soccer. He turned to Brian. "hey, you trying out for highschool football?"

Ben called in a crew to take away the smashed vehicles then jumped back on the fire truck...

Chrissa greeted Miley happily. "Come on in!" She led Miley inside and into the living room. "We have both National Treasure 1 and 2 on DVD. Which one do you wanna watch?"

Ryan texted Peter: hey wuts up?

Miley fingered the Dvd for National Treasure 2. "This one. I've already seen the first." Then, she added, "I wouldn't have minded seeing the first again if you didn't have the second. I haven't seen the first since i was 11."

Peter was reading information about the latest MVP in basketball, when he got a text from Ryan. He texted back: Well, good news is my hair is growing back. Bad news is Levi died in the war and Amanda and Diane are in the hospital. They've been injured in acar crash and I have to wait to see them. Amanda is in intensive care. I hope she's okay. She was real worried about Diane and two friends they were with and about her leg.

"About football" Brian said, tapping Peter on the shoulder "I probably won't try out for it....lots of people discouraged me to do so. Said I was too small"

Peter shrugged. "Well, I might... I mean those bullies need to know I'm not a wimp anymore." He wasn't saying Brian was wimpy, yi was jsut he felt that after all this crying over his hair, he needed to show the bullies tha the was manly and they should stop picking on him. Still, he preffered basketball. "One problem. What if football runs into basketball tryouts?"

" Yeah that's another reason why" Brian said sitting lower in his chair. "I just don't want to.." he said with a sigh.

The lady at the desk called out. "You may now go see Miss Amanda. She has just been placed in room 115. You are allowed 20 minutes visiting time"

Peter knew he had a dliemna. He could be on the basketball team with his friend and finally do what he couldn't when suspended for pills. Or, he could prove to the jerks at school that he was not a wimp. He pushed the thoughts out of his mind, when he walked into Amanda's room. "Hey Manders."

A nurse was with Amanda fixing her leg into a certain position. She came to Brian and said "Careful young man...she's tired" then the nurse left

As soon as the nurse left, Peter siad to Brian, "THis is my friend, Amanda, Amanda this is my friend, Brian." He surveyed her leg, which was in a cast. He really didn't want to see her like this. She loved excersising. WHat was she going to do?

Brian smiled and walked forward, gently shaking Amanda's hand "It's nice to met you. I'm sorry about what happened" he said in a quieter voice. "I hope you get alot better soon"

Amanda shook the younger boy's hand. "That's okay." She looked to Peter, then back to Brian. "Keeping him out of trouble?" she teased
